I have been looking for a bag that would hold both my strobes and my light stands. My kit includes three White Lightnings, about six light stands, softboxes, umbrellas, power cords, clamps and other accessories. This bag was the perfect size.
There are a couple drawbacks. I was initially concerned about the price difference between this and other high end bags. The top of the line Lowepro and Thinktank roller bags cost about twice as much. As with most things you get what you pay for. While the size of this bag is perfect for my needs there are a couple quality issues. As mentioned in a couple other reviews the zipper is questionable, it just doesn't feel solid like other high end bags. The padded inserts are very low quality and there are not enough of them. With a bag this size there should be a variety of sizes included so as to best organize the bag for your particular needs.
This is a perfect size bag for my needs. I wish it was a little higher quality, but I guess I could by two of these for the price of one high quality version.

We bought this case to keep two AB800 heads, a couple of stands, and some speedlights in for location work. There's ample room, and the padding is secure enough to keep us from worrying about the contents. It's still fairly awkward, though - getting it into a car is a bit of a clownish operation, and it could use a better handle that somehow allowed the use of two hands. The only other problem we've found with it is that the zipper tends to get stuck now and then.

I needed a big bag. I just bought 2 Einstein light systems with octagon light boxes and their 13' stands. This bag handled that + tripod, all my light metering gear, extension cord and more.

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Dual Kit Case:
After only a few weeks of use, I can happily say that this bag is great. It is well thought out and very practical. I am currently hauling around the following in it comfortably:
- 3 Einsteins and cables
- 3 8" standard reflectors
- 3 balcar speed rings
- Tri-grip reflector
- 2 x-small chimera boxes
- 1 medium chimera box
- Heavy duty extension cord with winder
- Other misc. cords and gels.
And with all that, there's easily still room to spare.
One of my absolute favourite features is that the wheels are great and it has little kickstand legs, allowing the bag to stand on its own.
Only downside (and it's very minor) is what other people mentioned, that the zipper is kinda cheap - sticky and somewhat flimsy.

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Dual Kit Case:
This case is cavernous inside. I fit the following:
2 PCB Einstein Lights
2 Vagabond Mini Battery Packs
2 Extra Vagabond Batteries
2 8" reflectors
1 Apollo Westcott 28" Softbox
2 12' Manfrotto Lighstands
1 7' Manfrotto Lightstand
2 Westcott collapsible 43" umbrellas
2 PCB 64" PLM umbrellas
2 Manfrotto tripods
2 Manfrotto nano lightstands
1 Manfrotto monopod
and there's space for much more.
Unfortunately, with this load, the case gets extremely heavy, and pulling the handle at the most comfortable angle will result in the plastic covering of the wheels scraping along the ground. I may take a dremel to them soon. As others have mentioned, the zippers are rather low quality. Nonetheless, it was the only case of its kind available in this price range.

This is a good size case for carrying two stands (long ones), two heads, their reflectors, umbrellas, cables, etc, etc.
It is completely let down by the use of a no-name zipper that in my case was a struggle to open the first time and came apart the second time I tried to unzip it. Why not use YKK, that seem indestructible. Instead the puller comes off the zip slider and the case becomes useless.

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Dual Kit Case:
I use this all the time and it can take a beating. When deciding which case to buy, some of the reviewers telling me what they fit in it was helpful so here you go:- (3) alien bee heads- (2) 36"soft boxes / (1) umbrella- (3) paul buff stands- reflector with stand- vagabond with extra battery- props for the shoot (coffee cups, etc)- (1) sandbagMaybe you could fit more but thats pushing it. I bought the single kit and had to return it because my paul buff light stands (LS3900) didn't fit in there. The single would be better for me if it were a tad longer because of the following... Cons:It is heavy right out of the box. Add all your gear and sometimes you need another person to get it in the car. To be expected for a heavy duty case and considering the price. Because its bigger and longer... I am 5ft 6" and I have to put my elbow up high to roll it around so that the bottom doesn't scrape against the ground. Wouldn't be a problem for someone a couple inches taller then me.There you go. Very happy with the case. I even have a friend selling his cases (that he paid a lot more money for) to buy this one after seeing mine.

I finally retired a 25 year-old metal Multiblitz shipping case and purchased this one; so much easier to handle! Well made, sturdy wheels, and fits not only my 3-light kit, but also an upgraded set of light stands, a pair of softboxes, and numerous other items that I had to carry separately before.

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Dual Kit Case:
I think my experience is typical with this bag. It's a heavy bag on it's own, I guess with all the padding. It's very big and roomy, and holds my largest lightstands with no problem. I actually have 2 Flashpoint monolights, 1 Mettle monolight, 2 normal lightstands, 1 heavier-duty lightstand, 1 small background lightstand, a 3'x4' softbox, 2 brolly boxes, 1 umbrella, a 10x20' green background (adds cushioning to lights) and assorted cables. I couldn't fit my reflectors or background stands in there but 95% of my 'studio' setup is now in this bag.
Once you get all that equipment in there, it's a pretty heavy load to be carrying around, so the wheels are handy. But, if you're going to want to really be mobile, then you would probably want two smaller bags instead of one behemoth. I'm not even sure this bag will fit in my car, it's so long.
It is nice to get the equipment out of the way. The bags zippers don't inspire confidence, but I haven't had any real problems with them. The dividers and overall construction seems very nice.

Comments about Photoflex Transpac Dual Kit Case:
This case makes it a heck of a lot easier for transporting my lighting gear. What I transport/store in this bag:
2 Alien Bee 800's
2 Heavy Duty 13' Buff stands
2 umbrellas
1 soft box
Lots of misc accessories, Pocket wizards, cords, grids, bounce cards, vagabond battery pack, etc.
All that equipment fits snug in there w/out bouncing around. I could get a third light head in there but there wouldn't be room for the third light stand. If you plan on keeping stands in a separate case then this case will easily hold up to four lights with all break-down type light modifiers.
Many people have commented on the zipper. I agree. It has some resistance and I'm not confident it will hold up over time. It doesn't have the smooth glide of a high end purse, for example. The zipper is the only gripe I have. Other than that its probably the best bang for your buck on any of the other options out there.
If you have a 2-3 light set-up like me, then this bag will serve you well... and depending on your choice of light modifiers, you would probably be able to get all your gear in here. I plan on growing my lighting gear and could see myself either doubling up on this bag, or looking at the bigger brother to it, or both. Well constructed, outside of the cheap zipper, and versatile configuration.
