I use this product as a running light at night on a fishing kayak.
I haven't used it to see if it is bright enough but it does appear to be ok for brightness.
To turn on- off really does stink. There are times when I thought I turned it off just to turn around to see it flickering. This light is secured to a piece of 1 inch pvc pipe which stays in a upright position that is why I have seen it flicker when it is off. The tun screw method of on-off is bad.

Comments about Fantasea Line Nano Spotter:
i bought 2. one for fishing and for my kayak. they work better than anticipated. I have not had them long enough to see how long it lasts. and i do not care about the colored lenses. but, so far, i like the lights a lot.

Comments about Fantasea Line Nano Spotter:
Using it as a stern light on the kayak, think it is a fine value.
Can't speak to watertightness, it's too big for a lightstick replacement, not enough output to use as a primary dive light.

Will use this as a kayak light. I like that the cap is secured to the body so I can't loose it.
It's bright enough for my purpose.

bought 3 for kayak use white for stern, red for port and green for starboard. Long battery life. Five older style LEDs. Not as bright as modern single LED lights, but suits my needs very well.

Comments about Fantasea Line Nano Spotter:
I have this added to a PVC pole on that attaches to my Fishing crate. The pole serves as my flag holder and stern light pole when fishing in the dark. The light with the white caps works great as a stern light and it's waterproof in case of an accidental dip in the water and the power source is self contained.

I bought 5 of these for my family for night kayaking. They are great. The twist on/off function works flawlessly, in any position. You just have to screw the cap all the way in to shut it off. Unscrew it half turn to illuminate. With the diffuser cap on, they float, making night fishing even more prosperous. Just toss a couple Nano Spotters into the lake with strings attached so you can retrieve them without getting wet. The colored filters are a nice bonus. However they do not come with batteries, no big deal. All in all, a great way to spend [$].

I trust my life to this light, I am using it on my kayak at night when I fish. Reliable performance and a clear bright light are critical. It is mechanically simple to use and doesn't deplete the batteries quickly. I have one that I have mounted so it is higher than the kayak and more visible. I keep another on my PFD for emergencies.

Cool little light. Wish it had a switch instead of turnig the head to turn it on. but over all I like it. Its real simple, lite, and gives good light. I love the floating cone that can be added i tie it to my son when we SCUBA dive so I can see him easier.

Nice little led, waterproof light. I will use this light on my kayak which means it will get wet often. I actually purchased two one to use as a stern light and the other to keep with me. It also has multi color lense options.

Comments about Fantasea Line Nano Spotter:
great price but I have to turn it past the o-ring that makes it waterproof to get it to stay off. Any motion causes the batteries to make contact and it lights up. On a kayak before dark it will be flickering on and off. Not going to work for me.

If you're looking for a waterproof flashlight, this one simply can't be beat for the price. I made the mistake of looking at the led bulbs when I first turned it on, this thing is BRIGHT! I almost fell over!
