Featuring a clamping-style lock, this mount securely holds the heaviest shoe units. It will not loosen up while a locating pin ensures that it won't twist on the bracket. The Bracket Shoe Mount attaches with the bracket's mounting knob. Machined, solid aluminum construction.
Stroboframe makes mounts for every type of flash unit. This knob also functions to attach flash units with 1/4"-20 sockets or dedicated TTL cords.

..the silly extra little metal thread collar protruding from the base (hardly visible on product picture and not mentioned anywhere). This prevents the cold shoe from sitting flush against whatever you are attaching it to (using short brass pins as I do). I understand it serves some purpose when used with the corresponding Stroboframe Flash Bracket (which I don't) but to me it just gets in the way. It looks like a press fit but attempts to remove it with pliers have so far failed - a dremel or handfile should work. In effect it prevents the adaptor pin to slide fully into the lightstand, and if your pins are very short, you lose about 3mm of grip on their collars. Hard to explain, easy to see.
Apart from that, it is superior in every way to anything else you could mount a flash into.

clamps on to the flash fine, but the system seems a little rough on the foot. I would recommend taping it up with several layers of duct tape or a cushioned adhesive piece, such as the ones that they make to protect mouth pieces on woodwind instruments to not damage your flash. Construction on the screw seems a little flimsy.

I read several reviews complaining that this product has a anti-rotation pin that prevents mounting on a flat surface, and several others explaining how to make modifications to this product. Stroboframe offers a similar part #300-405 that is meant for mounting on flat surfaces.

First of all I want to say that I love these adapters. I have a bunch of them and use them on top of mini ball heads and umbrella adapters with great results. The angled clamp edges really secure the flash foot with no wiggle on any axis. The primary reason I'm adding this review to the countless others is that I've noticed a number of folks commenting on the metal nub on the bottom of the bracket that causes it to set askew on any surface that does not have a corresponding hole or slot. I have easily removed this nub in about a minute from all the units I've purchased with just a small pair of adjustable pliers. I lay the pliers flat against the bottom of the bracket and firmly grasp the sides of the metal nub. Then I just gently rotate the nub slightly back and forth a few times and it lifts right out of the hole in the bracket cleanly. The only thing that sometimes remains is a small bit of dry adhesive that just brushes away. If I'm the least bit careful it doesn't even leave a scratch on the bottom of the adapter.

TThis unit was suggested by BH as a solution to my objective.
Although this unit holds my SB-700 very securely, it does not fit correctly onto my Stroboframe grip.
There is a small piece of metal protruding on the bottom of the unit that prevents it from being seated flat onto the top of the grip. If the drill hole for the mounting screw on the grip was slightly moved towards the end of that frame, then this part would lie flat. It could be ground down to the point of that stud being flush with the rest of that unit, but then you will have a unit that is all marred up on its bottom.

I purchased three of these to make a DIY Tri-Flash bracket. I attached them to a metal box (electrical supply store) via the bolt that comes with it. This allows the attached speedlight to be rotated (by loosening and re-tightening). The all metal construction equals extreme durability. You can also use these for other purposes as well. Well-made product...

Excellent flash mount. Lost a part to the one adapter that came included in my stroboframe flash bracket, so this purchase was to replace the lost part. Well built and will hold your flash unit (or mic or video screen or whatever) securely.

Pretty basic and easy to use. Solidly holds the flash to keep it from sliding off whatever the mount is connected to (a light stand in my case). Construction seems solid as well.

Comments about Stroboframe Flash Mount Adapter - Standard Shoe Type:
This little adapter is small, light, and works great. I use it on a Jones flash bracket meant for TLRs.
You should note that there is a small metal stub projecting from the bottom of this shoe, which acts as an anti-rotation peg. In order to drill a hole for this stub into your flash bracket, measure 1/2 inch center to center, and centerpunch. Drill a pilot hole first with a small drill bit (e.g. 1/32"). I then used a 15/64" drill bit for the final hole. Then, the adapter sits flush on the bracket, and it will never rotate, regardless of the flash angle.
If you don't drill the hole, this adapter will sit askew on your bracket. The alternative then would be to file it off (it is cast into the metal). However, the bracket with flash attached can then spin around on the mounting screw as a pivot.

Ordered these so that I could mount my Canon speedlights (430 and 580 EXII's) to my umbrella stands. I wanted something that would ensure a secure fit and not have to worry about the expensive flashes falling off. These did the trick. They are inexpensive and hold on tight.

I have these on a tripod, a pistol grip, and a stabilizer rig.
They are great. I appreciate the extra security of being able to tighten both the accessory and the shoe.
I guess you could say they are a bit heavy, but it's worth it for the strong construction. They are small, about 0.5 x1 inch, but it is solid steel.

Comments about Stroboframe Flash Mount Adapter - Standard Shoe Type:
Odd thing, I have one of these already and it works great and that's why I ordered a second one. This one I received did not have any threading in the hole that you would attach a 1/4" screw into, like a brass stud on a light stand. It was just a drilled hole without threading and it came with another little black knob with a 1/4" screw also, not sure what for. This is the only Stroboframe product I have and so I don't know if what I received could be use somehow on the other Stroboframe products, but I ordered the same product as before and got the same product but without the threads so I'm guessing it was just a mistake at the factory. I called B&H and they refunded my money and sent out a new one.
When this product is functional, 5 stars but I can't attach it to anything so 3 stars. 5 stars to B&H though for customer service.

Affordable shoe mount. I made a D.I.Y. TriFlash bracket with them. As is mentioned in other reviews here, there is a protruding little piece of metal that won't allow the shoe to sit flush on a surface. I got around this by putting a lock washer on the bottom of it. It makes it sit level on my triflash bracket. Very good product, holds the flashes securely. :)

Comments about Stroboframe Flash Mount Adapter - Standard Shoe Type:
Bought this based on other reviews to mount a speedlite on a light stand.
In the hand, it felt solidly constructed, and the screw was easy to tighten. At first seemed to hold the speedlight securely, but it only took a slight amount of pressure to slide the speedlite out. That, plus the lack of a integrated stop left me feeling less than confident that my speedlite wouldn't end up on the ground, so I am searching for another unit.
Thankfully, B&H issued a RA number with no hassle.
