Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper is designed specifically for use with Epson's UltraChrome K3 ink and was developed in collaboration with many of the industry's leading professional photographers to ensure it meets their most discerning requirements.
This unique media offers the same deep blacks, subtle tonal gradations and long-lasting results as the darkroom papers of old. Its fiber base has a rich surface, a continuous tone and soft gloss that are ideal for creating stunning color or neutral black-and-white prints that retain the look and feel of traditional fiber paper.

This is a thick paper with a solid feel and nice texture -- much better than Lustre. Without a doubt it is Epson's finest paper ever manufactured. I viewed several prints made with an Epson 9900 and this paper that were beyond description. They were that great! The sharp tones and brilliant colors are terrific.
As for this paper being similar to that of papers used by wet darkroom owners, I highly disagree on this point. I had a darkroom for many years. Exhibition Fiber Paper is absolutely nothing at all like the papers I used in that environment. This is not a shortcoming. It is just an observation. Exhibition Fiber Paper is a marvelous product on its own basis.

I started printing in the darkroom over 40 years ago with Kodak Medalist and Kodabromide glossy "F" surface papers. I loved the look of those papers along with Agfa Brovira and Portriga Rapid--all with the smooth "F" surfaces. Since I never owned a ferrotype plate, all my prints were air dried. According to Epson, the Exhibition Fiber is supposed to recreate the look of a glossy fiber paper that was dried without ferrotyping. It's close but not good enough. There is a slight surface texture to this paper that was never there in the F-surface papers of old. To my eyes, this leads to a little loss in definition of the printed image. There's also a lack of vibrancy in the colors. Pictures printed on this paper just look dull to my eyes whereas the same photo printed on Epson's Premium Photo Paper Glossy paper completely dances off the surface with life.
I do like the weight of this paper compared to the lighter weight Epson paper but the weight is not really a factor when the picture is mounted and exhibited behind glass. Based on image quality alone, I think Exhibition Fiber is only "OK" but not really worth the extra cost.

Comments about Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper for Inkjet (8.5 x 11", Letter , 25 Sheets):
I've made a couple of dozen prints with this paper on an Epson 4900 printer. Results are completely mixed - they're either great prints or rejects. It appears that about one print in five will have a tiny "bubble" of ink that doesn't completely adhere to the surface of the paper. When the ink's dry, the bubble flakes off, leaving a tiny white spot. The problem seems most pronounced with the Photo Black ink.
I'll keep looking for a better paper.

Comments about Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper for Inkjet (8.5 x 11", Letter , 25 Sheets):
This is a high quality paper, it renders the colors very nice, it looks more contrasty than Casnon Baryta paper. it is tick and sturdy and it has more texture than baryt papers. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is the lack of profile on Epson's website and there are no good instruction on which media to select (gloss, luster, semi-gloss). Epson should've done beter job on this. Something that other reviewers noted: the coating of the paper peels off time to time and you have to re-print.

Everybody loves Exhibition Fiber, and for good reason: it looks and feels like the fiber-based papers we used back in those halycon days when the smell of fixer filled you anticipation.
I use a lot of this, but after doing a comprehensive comparison of top-shelf fine art papers, I'm switching to Hahnemuhle Fine Art Photo Rag Pearl. My tests were far from objective — I was looking for the best paper for my style of photography. Now I will say that Exhibition Fiber was a close second and is, in my optinion, still one of the best PK (photo black) papers available.

Comments about Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper for Inkjet (8.5 x 11", Letter , 25 Sheets):
I've been a photographer for better than 40 years and printed in the darkroom until making the total conversion to digital about 10 years ago. I've printed b&w, C-prints, R-prints, Cibachrome, Agfa and Kodak transfer, Polaroid and even learned Dye Transfer printing.
I've tried many, many "fine-art, double-weight, matt-dry glossy" papers. Each time I do, I've never been satisfied until I tried the Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper and I haven't looked back.
Images printed using my 3880 and 9900 Epson printers just can't be beat, even better than when I did dye transfer on double-weight glossy paper. It prints well, the blacks are rich, the whites are better than all but Cibachrome Glossy. The prints stay pretty flat for museum mounting without having to de-curl the prints.
For my portfolio and highest-quality images and when I'm printing for a museum or gallery show, there's not much better than the Exhibition Fiber paper!
Though it's higher in cost than Epson Premium Luster, prints simply have a nicer feel and richer look, weather b&w, "toned" b&w or color.

Comments about Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper for Inkjet (8.5 x 11", Letter , 25 Sheets):
I wrote a review in June 2012 in which I gave this paper a mediocre rating. At that time I had little experience with the paper and was comparing it to Epson's Premium Glossy RC paper. Apples and oranges, actually. Exhibition Fiber is a completely different animal from RC paper and should have been considered in its own right. The fact is, after more experience in using EF, I've come to like it quite a bit. I still don't particularly like the surface but, now that I've tried several other fiber papers, EF is pretty much in the same ballpark as the surfaces of other "F-surface" papers. Fiber inkjet papers in general don't have the snappiness of RC glossies but they do have their own special qualities that are very appealing. When comparing EF to other papers in the same category, I do find the image to have brighter whites which makes them look a little snappier than the other F-surface fiber papers I've used. While that is impressive on first viewing, when compared to a paper with a more natural white, the EF paper begins to wear on the eyes a little bit. I personally prefer a more natural white--not necessarily warm, but less bright. To each his own, of course. I can see why so many people like the way images look on EF. One thing that does concern me is that there must be a lot of OBAs in EF to give it this look. But, of course, I initially was comparing EF to an RC glossy so archival properties may not be be an issue to everyone. In the end, paper preference is personal. I will continue to use EF for some images but I also will continue to experiment with other F-surface, as well as matte finish, papers. I doubt there is one perfect paper for every image. I think EF is a very good addition to one's paper selections.I'm using EF with an Epson R3000 and Epson's own supplied color profiles. My sophisticated calibration equipment is my own eyeballs. The EF images using Epson's profiles matches my screen image and my screen image was adjusted by eyeball. After more experience and use, I would now recommend this paper to others.

I use Epson Fiber for B&W and color printing. I find it is well suited for color more so than B&W. I use Canson baryta photographique for all of my B&W printing. It has better tones and a overall better "fiber look" than the Epson.
With that said I do like the weight of the Epson and the dmax is very good. My issue with this paper is two fold. First it is a tad to glossy for my liking and secondly it is a bit too white. All in all a very good paper and one you should have on hand. But there are better papers out there for B&W printing.

This paper has a wonderful feel and weight. I've printed many color photography portfolios on it and they've held up well. Honestly, it reminds me of the Ilford silver gelatin papers I used to use in the darkroom, but thicker. It has a luster, semi-gloss finish but without a problematic glare. One thing I've noticed is that it is quite warm in tone so you'll need to add a blue curve layer in photoshop to compensate if you don't want your print to look warm/yellow-y. I've never had problems with it jamming or smudging. It is expensive, but worth the price for a high-end fine art portfolio of photographs.
