Bought this lens after calculating that the standard lens would not work. Ordered the item, and installed it after it arrived. No major issues with the installation; it is working as advertised and with no problems.
While Mitsubishi's site refers to this lens to use in the XD3500U projector, there aren't specific instructions included on how to install it in that particular projector. There are instructions for similar types, which is what I used for the install. My only other complaint is that it is almost the cost of the projector itself!
All in all, it just worked. No major issues whatsoever.
