I would recommend this bag as adventurer accessory.
This bag is excellent companion if you are going for high hiking or ride on mountain bike and you want compact backpack.
It is well weather sealed and provide a good protection to the equipment.
For my taste it is a little bit too small. I am able to store store Canon 70-200 f/4 L with and without body and one smaller lens or flash etc.
Inside of backpack you can customize compartments as you need.
Cons: Equipment is not easily accessible.

Comments about Flipside 200 Backpack (Black):

this bag was great on my recent trip to Florida. it proved to be water resistant during typical Florida afternoon down poor and kept my gear dry. it is light, comfy of my back even when carrying a monopod or tripod. it fit all this things I needed for a day out shooting. I think only downside it was a bit snug with the camera and lenses so I think I should have gotten 300 but did what I needed it to do.

Comments about Flipside 200 Backpack (Black):

I've used this bag since 2010. It held my gripped T2i, tripod, 2 primes, cards, cables & water bottle. On planes, it fit nicely under my seat. The features that sold me on the bag were the zippers being against your back for security & the strap & sling feature. It's dorky but works perfectly.
4 years and on my search for a new bag because I need more room (sold the T2i & have 2 cameras now), I can't find anything to replace it with the features I value so I'll be buying the bigger Flipside 300 version.
This bag is built tough and I really have no complaints. Straps are very comfy, padding is great, highly suggested.

Comments about Flipside 200 Backpack (Black):

I use this product a few times a week. I use it mostly when I ride my bicycle on the various trails around the area. These trails give me more opportunities to find things to shoot that I wouldn't see from a road. It's light weight enough to be comfortable and it carries what I need. I also like the monopod holder on the back because my tripod is too big to carry on my back.

The zippers are a little fussy but seem to be working better. The best thing is being able to access my camera without sitting it on the ground.

This backpack (Flipside 200) accommodates nicely my Canon 6D with 35mm, 50mm and 135mm primes. It feels comfortable for walks and bicycle trips. The construction is rugged and this backpack will last. Probably won't be sufficient if you intend to use it for anything bigger than 70-200. I was actually looking for a small backpack. I have no problem with accessing the equipment.

Comments about Flipside 200 Backpack (Black):

I mostly use this for travel, and it turned out to be exactly what I wanted: Compact, Inconspicuous, and fast to work from. A sling might be quicker to access, but I doubt that it would be as comfy to carry. I do wish it had a larger compartment for misc stuff, but oh well.

Here's what I can carry in this little bag at once: Canon 5D2 with 24-105mm L f4, 70-200mm L f4, 85mm f1.8, 14mm L 2.8, 550 EX flash, cards, extra battery! Oh wait, and the little Velbon tripod that attaches securely & without sticking out anywhere.

It's great to not need a place to lay down your bag. Proved priceless when I covered the Rio Carnaval.

Comments about Flipside 200 Backpack (Black):

This bag is well built and provides good protection for the camera equipment inside, but it is small. With my camera, mid-range zoom, and Canon 70-300mm f4-5.6 USM lens inside there isn't any room left for my flash. Storing lenses with wide hoods may require some creativity. There is room for an extra battery, extra cards and a few other small items. I am a little concerned that the hard bottom of the bag could be hard on my back if I carried it for long periods. I think this bag is best suited for carrying extra equipment or a lens you might want to have on hand when in the field. If you want a backpack to carry your camera, extra lens and a flash, the Flipside 300 might be a better choice.

Comments about Flipside 200 Backpack (Black):

This pack is perfect for those who need ability to move unimpeded by their gear and yet give their gear a good bit of protection.

I mainly got this pack for activities like climbing, skiing, skating, cycling etc. Activities where having your camera out in the open is simply out of the question. I wanted a pack that is small and snug on the body, yet well padded.
The pack is rather small, so don't expect to fit two bodies, five lenses and a flash or two. However, it does fit my Canon 60D with a 70-200 f/2.8, with hood on, and has room for a 17-55 f/2.8. Side pocket is good for things like spare battery and cards.
Just two days ago, I went skiing. The pack with about 6.5 lbs of gear felt like it wasn't there, very comfortable. Sliding it around, pulling a zipper and having the camera ready takes very little time. Also, when in front, the bag forms a 'tray' which makes it quite easy to swap lenses.

Overall, I am very pleased - it meets my needs almost perfectly. Fits what I need and keeps it secure and out of the way until needed.

A few comments: The waistband is just a narrow nylon strip with a snap buckle. I wish it were a bit more substantial - wider and padded a bit like the shoulder straps, with buckle at the pack and not in the middle, and lined with something slippery. That would make the pack easier to slide around, and give better comfort when in 'tray mode'. It was fine when worn over a ski jacket, but will be less so over light summer clothes.
The zippers are easy to operate on the sides, but near the top where they curve, it's awkward at best. Since there is a lip covering the zipper, and the access itself is from the inside, I find that zipping just the sides, leaving the top unzipped provides much faster access without compromising the security of equipment.

So far so good. I got my bag quickly and loaded it up with my gear. I had to do some work to configure for my stuff. But I love that it's flexible to do that. And if I change what I want to carry it won't be hard to reconfigure. It's perfect to carry what you need for a photo hike. I tried it out the other day and it was comfortable to carry and accessing my gear was easy. I really like the back entry for when I travel. It seems durable and well made.

Comments about Flipside 200 Backpack (Arctic Blue/Black):

I ordered this to obtain the smallest and lightest camera pack that would also hold a tripod. This bag almost fit the bill but the design left off one important piece, an attachment at the top of the bag to hold the tripod in addition to the one strap provided which is located very close to the bottom. Therefore any attempt to carry a tripod is going to be weighted poorly with out adding your own strap close to the top. I am using a Canon G16 for an ultra light camera outfit when going on long strenuous hikes like Angels Landing in Zion NP.

Comments about Flipside 200 Backpack (Black):

I bought this small backpack to carry my Fujifilm X-pro-1 camera and lenses, flash, cards and miscellaneous items. I prefer a backpack to a shoulder bag and this size fit my needs. It is light, well padded, has perfect fit compartments for the lenses, hoods, card case. It well constructed. There are few choices for this size bag and I think there is an un-pursued opportunity for the competition to consider this product.

I got this for my husband for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. He is excited that it can't be opened while he's wearing it without him knowing.

I use this product mainly when I'm traveling, I decide what Lens I'm taking for my Nikon D7100, Battery Charger, Flash light &Tripod. and few Lens Filters and your ready to go. Very handy, The great about it is, you just need to take what you really needed and pack it up on this Flipside 200. You don't need to take a bigger bag and bring all your equipment that you won't use anyway. Things that aren't so great about this was the side pocket. should be about inch 1" thick from the body when it was built to have more room for extra smaller equipment. But mainly, this product is commendable for everybody looking for Camera bags.
