I bought this pack specifically for a 3 week trip through Europe. I needed a pack for my Nikon D300 (w/ grip), telephoto lens, 50mm lens, computer, and various electronics and cables.
After 'living' with the pack every day of the trip, I am very satisfied with it's design and performance. The pack probably weighed in at 20+ pounds fully loaded. The straps are comfortable and sturdy although I'm not a big fan of the sternum buckle and waist straps (wish I could disconnect the sternum buckle from the main straps). I tried using the 'fastpack' feature a couple of times but found that I didn't trust the overall stability (due to the weight I was carrying) in getting my camera out of the pack one-handed. It was not difficult to just set the pack down and safely remove the camera. The pack's contents are well protected from occasional rough handling. I only exposed the pack to light rain, so I can't comment on more extreme water protection.
It was easy to clear all security points (airports, museums, etc) with the pack and the outside pockets made it easy to access my travel documents. There is just enough room in the upper chamber to carry some extra clothes, if needed. The pack fit easily in overhead compartments on trains and airplanes.
I'm very satisfied with taking this pack on an extended trip.

It was bought for a series of daytrips to photograph scenery, wild horses, birds, and dolphins. Camera equipment is a D3s with 20-70 mm and 80--400 mm lenses.

Lowepro makes a great camera bag. It is easy to use and easy to load and unload the camera or lenses, even on a moving boat. It is comfortable and can be worn for hours. The mesh back provides some air circulation in a warm environment.

However, the chest strap came loose only 4 days into a 2 week trip. It is not sewed on and is only a plastic clamp that loosely attaches to a roll of plastic on the shoulder strap. Were it not for this shortcoming, it would receive a higher rating.

Comments about Fastpack 350 Backpack (Black):

I researched backpacks extensively. While there are other competitors that have similar products, this one was slightly bigger and met my minimum requirements. Also, the 250 appears to be an inch shorter and about an inch thinner. It may work for most.

I have non-camera equipment that I carry sometimes. It also fits well in the lower padded compartment, so I immediately tested that by removing all the dividers. The Velcro sticks very well, so it will stay together when used with camera gear.

My 16" notebook and charger fit in the long compartment in the back. When configured for my camera, my Nikon D5300, with a 70-300mm zoom attached, does fit! I also have a wide-angle zoom, flash, hoods, and filters that all fit. All the videos and reviews appear to be accurate as far as size. It is also generously padded (bottom & back).

The top compartment is padded on the side towards your back, while the other 3 sides are not as much. However, the sturdiness of the material provides adequate protection for most things. You could easily add some pads if you use the top for fragile items (or put them in their own cases).

It is a big backpack compared to the usual "book bag". It does easily meet the usual carry-on luggage requirements though. It is just flexible enough to fold the top down a few inches (if not fully packed on the top). This allows for fitting in tighter spaces. So it is not rigid, but the bottom is padded enough to give it sturdiness, and it stands up on its own.

I am pleased with the initial quality. It has a water-resistant material, like most backpacks. The pictures looked like it was a real soft and absorbent type material, but I was pleasantly surprised that it sheds water. It isn't waterproof, but since I have experience with my other backpack, made of the same material, it appears that it will hold up for awhile in the rain.

It is comfortable also. I haven't worn it for an extended time period yet, but the shoulder straps are very well padded and adjustable.

It is still new to me, so I can't write about durability, but I am very pleased so far.

Comments about Fastpack 350 Backpack (Black):

This is a large bag and has a lot of space. Currently it contains 2 DSLR's (Canon D50 & D70) one with a 100 to 400 zoom lens attached. Three other lens. 1 13" laptop and all of of the support goodies. Its a little heavy with all this gear but sits well on the back and is not really uncomfortable. It can be a little tough to get the shoulder straps on, they seem a bit short for my size frame.
I would recommend this bag for anyone who carries a lot of stuff and wants fairly easy access to it.

Comments about Fastpack 350 Backpack (Black):

For the money it's very hard to beat. The strap connection points are very strong. There is no concerns about something giving way when its fully loaded and you swing it around on one strap to get your camera out. All the zippers are protected with flaps, the main access is protected with a secondary flap, etc.
I do own a competitors product that has more features but the build quality does not compare. The only thing missing from the Fastpack 350 is a rain cover and tripod attachment point.
The rain cover is not a biggie really, unit is pretty weather resistant as is.
      Highly recommend.

Holds everything well and is built with reliable quality. It has a simple sleek design is also very comfortable. I just wish it came with a rain cover, why did you not include this Lowepro?! It would be perfect if this little 10 dollar accessory came with it!

This bag is pretty bulky and heavy. I ended up giving it to a person who is a much larger person than I am. It holds a ton of equipment, but you feel every bit of it. I like the Kata Bug MUCH better. I'm tall, but have a short torso and this bag hit me all kinds of wrong no matter how I adjusted it. I was sad because it's a beautiful bag to look at. I just need functionality over looks.

This bag is a good mix of space, utility, and cost. I use it to carry a Canon 5D3 w/ grip, 2 lenses 70-200 f2.8 and 24-105 f4, a 580 speedlite, a camcorder, and some filters. To do this however, my setup is nothing like the pictures. I wanted easy access to my second lens and flash. Having the camera in the middle doesn't work that well. You need to move the camera to one side do some rearranging with the dividers to accomplish this.

The construction is great and it is comfortable to carry for extended periods. I do wish it were a little bigger so that there were more arrangement options, but I am quite pleased overall.

Comfortable to wear/carry. Personally I couldn't ask for much more in a backpack that comes in at this price. I like my Think Tank Street Walker but this will be my main bag for quite sometime.

Comments about Fastpack 350 Backpack (Arctic Blue/Black):

Everything about this product is just as the manufacturer describes. Nice padding. Heavy duty exterior and zippers. I easily packed a Nikon D200 with MB D200 and attached lens plus an another body, a speedlight, and two additional lenses. There was plenty of room in the pockets for accessories, spare batteries, etc. The top compartment is plenty big for a daytrip change of clothes.

Comments about Fastpack 350 Backpack (Arctic Blue/Black):

I often carry a camera with me in a business backpack. I wanted to use this as an everyday laptop backpack for my commute into work aand actually protect my camera at same time. The bag is a quality bag, but simply proves impractical for a work backpack. Nowhere to store anything larger than 8.5 in x 11 in. other than laptop sleeve which is tight already. The quality of the bag is high, and it is large enough to carry a good deal of equipment. If looking for convenient camera bag - highly recommended. Not a business backpack, though.

Comments about Fastpack 350 Backpack (Black):

The backpack has basically three sections: laptop, upper half general storage, and lower half camera storage. The good thing about it is it's has all three so it's possible to travel with all of them. The back side is we do not have enough space for general storage and camera. The camera compartment is good for one camera with lens attached to it, and another lens. It does have space for more, but to access them without removing the backpack would be difficult.

Comments about Fastpack 350 Backpack (Arctic Blue/Black):

I recently purchased this backpack to hold my new DSLR (Nikon D5200), as well as all of my gear for my filming and photography. All I can say is, it's well worth it's money.I use this backpack to hold all my gear, and it works out great for that. It's spacious enough for an adequate collection of lenses or speedlights, and has adjustable walls, which use Velcro to hold them in place. There are two pockets on top of the flap that fold out for containing two SD cards, which I found quite useful. The top of the bag, you have the pocket that can contain a multitude of items, specifically it has two small pockets for a pen brush, or, well, pens, and other pockets (A mesh and one covered with a flap) that have served me well. Another feature I liked is the bag on the inside for containing any loose items, which DOES have velcro on it, so it does stick to the wall! The only CON I have about it is that opening it is sort of awkward, but it should not be something to turn you off of the bag.The laptop pouch on the side is easily accessible, and holds my 16" Laptop perfectly.Overall, the quality is great. The straps seem like they will last QUITE a while, and my other Lowepro bag has held out for nearly 5 years now. I have the highest hopes for this, and for the price? It's quite a bargain!PROS:- Cheap, great bang for your buck!- Quality Build, doesn't seem like it will break ANYTIME soon.- Easily accessible, albeit it awkward to get into the top compartment, but nonetheless great.- Strong buckles, no cheap plastic, but it isn't metal either. A great medium.- Pockets and Storage, great for storing multitudes of itemsCONS:- Top Compartment, it's somewhat awkward to have OPEN, per say. But it really isn't something major, unless that would bother you.- Nothing else is really something to point out, from here on out, it's personal taste!NOTE: I did buy this for $[$], which I thought was a steal, but at the time of this review, it's not $[$]! This is a great deal!
