The Tiffen 67mm Graduated 0.6 ND Digital HT Filter is a graduated neutral density filter that helps to specifically darken skies and other bright areas of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a feathered line between the density and clear areas. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and the 0.6 density provides a 2 stop reduction in light from entering the lens. This filter also features a rotating filter ring for flexibility when placing the density over specific areas of the scene.
The Digital HT coating is a high transmission multi-coating that surpasses military specifications for hardness and durability. This optical purity combined with high scratch-resistance results in an easy-to-clean filter with superb imaging quality. They also feature low-profile titanium filter rings for increased strength and vignetting reduction.

Comments about Tiffen 67mm Graduated 0.6 ND Digital HT Filter:
I like to be out shooting during mid-day. This filter is my solution to all the washed out skies that have filled my sunlit shots. The graduated ND from Tiffen is easy to use and the glass is high quality. Multiple coatings make a real difference in full sunlit situations. Worth the extra money! I look forward to using it on an upcoming trip to shoot some water features.
I did look for some slip on lens protectors because my conventional caps will not fit the filter.

This is a great filter. Orignally, I was told that Tiffen filters were junk. Not True! This filter beats comparable B&W and Hoyas. Best of all it is MADE IN AMERICA!

Comments about Tiffen 67mm Graduated 0.6 ND Digital HT Filter:
Tiffen filters are very high quality, and the only filters that I know still made in the USA.This graduated glass filter is very useful for horizon shots such as costal work, it can be rotated 360 degrees, and when used with care it will reduce post processing time a bunch. I have also used this filter with good results over mountain/valley shots to balance the sky values. The filters are multi coated and very tough, also easily cleaned.

The best way to allow the landscape to not wash out against the sky

Comments about Tiffen 67mm Graduated 0.6 ND Digital HT Filter:
I purchased this to help cut down the contrast between the sky and land in my landscape photos. I have not had a chance to use it much yet, but can say it works well. The carrying case is also a plus, not having to deal with the hard plastic cases many other filters come in. The only downside to this is that in some situations the sky is so bright that a 0.9 graduated filter would work better, but hey - one filter can't fit all situations. For most situations, it does exactly what I need.

Comments about Tiffen 67mm Graduated 0.6 ND Digital HT Filter:
I suspect this is going to become one of my most utilized pieces of camera gear. I shoot alot of landscape and outdoor scenes...i should have bought one of these filters decades ago. Though the amount of light contrast in a scene can often call for even more than this filter's 2 stops, as my first graduated filter, it's probably a nice amount of light gradation for the largest number of instances when i'll reach for it.

I live in the Pacific Northwest where the contrast between the dark green of evergreens against the sky can present contrast challenges to a photographer. A graduated neutral density filter allows you some measure of control and the ability to enhance detail. Tiffen HT filters are among the best you can buy, with durable coatings.
