The Tiffen 72mm Graduated 0.6 ND Digital HT Filter is a graduated neutral density filter that helps to specifically darken skies and other bright areas of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a feathered line between the density and clear areas. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and the 0.6 density provides a 2 stop reduction in light from entering the lens. This filter also features a rotating filter ring for flexibility when placing the density over specific areas of the scene.
The Digital HT coating is a high transmission multi-coating that surpasses military specifications for hardness and durability. This optical purity combined with high scratch-resistance results in an easy-to-clean filter with superb imaging quality. They also feature low-profile titanium filter rings for increased strength and vignetting reduction.

Comments about Tiffen 72mm Graduated 0.6 ND Digital HT Filter:
Like this filter. Will probably buy the 0.9 grad also. I removed 1 star from Tiffen because they were not intuitive or responsive enough to mark on the rotating ring the gradation orientation.

Very easy to use. this was my first venture into the use of graduated neutral density filters. It is easy and intuitive to use and it imparts no unwanted reflections, flare or coloration to the scene being photographed.

Comments about Tiffen 72mm Graduated 0.6 ND Digital HT Filter:
I use this filter mostly for landscapes and it has performed beautifully so far. Once attached to the camera, it can be rotated. So you can use it either vertically or horizontally. The only drawback about it is that it is somewhat difficult to clean especially if you get moisture on it.

Comments about Tiffen 72mm Graduated 0.6 ND Digital HT Filter:
I love this filter and use it all the time. It's been quite helpful in reducing overexposed areas and has saved photos in less than perfect shooting conditions. I plan to now buy a 4-stop to go with it.

Comments about Tiffen 72mm Graduated 0.6 ND Digital HT Filter:
Never used a "circular" neutral density filter before. Had difficulty determining thru the viewfinder (DSLR) if the gradient line was aligned with the horizon. Also not easy to set when viewing from the lens front. Results were as hoped for, dramatic and positive in comparison with an identical unfiltered shot.
Although expected, I did not perceive any vignetting when used with a 24 mm focal length lens on a full size sensor (35 mm). Nice storage case. I found some difficulty installing perhaps because the threads are so fine or it is a double ring. It wouldn't be hard to cross thread so exercise caution when installing. I can honestly say installing a single ring "UV" filter on the same lens was smoother,
