The Varizoom VZ-FPC FlowPod stabilizer system, is a great addition to the line of support gear for mini-DV videographers. This uniquely styled device is the most versatile piece of support gear on the market. Designed to work perfectly with or without a VariZoom control, the FlowPod merges the popular StealthPod monopod with this patent pending stabilizing system.

Just grab the FlowPod stabilizer, mount your camera and start recording. The FlowPod will give you smooth footage, while walking, running or even going up and down stairs without any camera instability or shake.

Comments about VariZoom VZ-FPC FlowPod Stabilizer System with Case:

I use this product with both a Canon 7D and Sony Ex1 and 2. This is a very robust unit and not fragile like the other single use stabilizers i have tried. It was very easy to balance with the included balancing plate. Once balanced it was easy to go back and forth between stabilizer and monopod modes. I only use it about 20% of the time in stabilizer mode and I lose no time on setting up because the device is always ready in the two primary modes that I use.

It actually weighs less than other stabilizers because it does not require as much weight at the bottom to stabilize because of the monopod.

I wish it were cheaper but it looks like the price has dropped since I purchased.

Comments about VariZoom VZ-FPC FlowPod Stabilizer System with Case:

I used this extensively for several weeks. Good stable footage is very difficult to attain. Unit tends to pitch and yaw even when very carefully balanced. The instructions were good and easy to follow. The balancing kit worked quite well as did the head. The unit was simply too cumbersome and difficult to use given the results. I also had the low-flow kit which I did not use. Overall I give it two stars because it is cumbersome and heavy.

Comments about VariZoom VZ-FPC FlowPod Stabilizer System with Case:

I use the FlowPod as a stabilizer platform for my 5Dmk2 in video mode and as monopod as needed with my other 5D's.

In the stabilizer function, once the balance is achieved using the included balancing platform, the rig is intuitive in use.It does take practice to set up with different lenses and asscessories. In my case,I've been able to set up with 24-105L,17-40L and the 70-200L lenses with a LED light. The only problem I've encountered has been the weight of the whole setup.Since it's designed for two-handed operation, fatique isn't usually a factor unless a session is quite prolonged.

The carrying case is a must to keep everything together and at hand. The engineering and overall quality of this rig is topnotch.
