The Bushnell Excursion 8x42 binocular has a rubber armored, lightweight composite chassis, with sleek-lined multi-purpose roof-prisms. This series features fully multi-coated optics to increase light transmission and premium BaK-4 prisms with PC-3 phase coating to produce outstanding color fidelity and sharpness.
It offers excellent light gathering due to its 42mm objective lenses. The binocular is 100% waterproof and nitrogen-purged in a double-bridge housing to protect it against fogging during sudden temperature changes. It offers long eye-relief, which yields comfort to all viewers including eyeglass wearers. Finally, it is a good companion for outdoor activities.

Comments about Bushnell Excursion-EX 8x42 Waterproof and Fogproof Binocular:
Wanted something small enough and light enough to carry in the field but still powerful. These are easier to focus than my old ones and are steady-- no tremor. Maybe not powerful enough for serious birders looking for small songbirds but fine for seeing larger shorebirds better (egrets, herons, etc), as well as other wildlife.. Great with my eyeglasses. Would definitely recommend these-- they are just right for my purposes!

Comments about Bushnell Excursion-EX 8x42 Waterproof and Fogproof Binocular:
I use it for birding and wildlife ( mammals)
The OPTICS are FIRST grade. Fab picture quality.
Good overall performance--Close focus,Colour rendition, etc.
The DOWNSIDE is the neck strap or rather where the neck strap is anchored to the binoculars. Its pathetic. It came loose and then it broke.( in just 4 maonths of use) Now I cannot hook it on my neck . I cannot imagine a company like BUSHNELL produce a great BINOCULARS like this and fit it up wityh a horrible neck strap hook !! SAD .

Comments about Bushnell Excursion-EX 8x42 Waterproof and Fogproof Binocular:
We bought these binoculars to use for birding. We have found them to be easy to use, light enough to carry for long periods of time, easy to adjust. The only downside is the ring for the front lens covers is not tight enough, and have fallen off a couple of times. Overall, these are great binoculars for the price!
