Sightmark, a worldwide leader in the development and distribution of night vision and sporting optics, stay true to their one simple mission; to produce high quality optics at affordable prices. Their items are lightweight, compact, and quite durable. Extreme care is taken in the construction and design of each optic, and special attention is paid to the art and physics of optical science. This level of quality control ensures that each device is a joy to hold, use, and look through.

Sightmark's high-powered 10-40x56 Tactical Riflescope features multicoated all-glass lens elements housed in an aluminum 30mm main-tube. This affordable riflescope has been nitrogen purged for water and fog proof performance so your sight picture will remain clear and unobstructed during dynamic weather conditions.

This sighting system offers high-magnification for long-distance shooters, and a large objective lens that enhances light transmission when you have the power dialed up to maximum. With this scope set to 40x, you'll probably want to rest the firearm upon a sandbag or bipod.

To use a riflescope with your firearm, you'll need a mounting base and mounting rings in addition to the scope itself. Bases attach to your firearm and rings attach to your scope. By affixing the scope mounted rings to the rifle mounted base you create a reliable accurate and secure sighting system. Proper spacing of the rings, as well as the ring height should be considered to ensure a proper line of sight can be established. This will maximize the value of your investment, and enhance your shooting experience. It should be noted that in many mounting applications, a professional gunsmith's skills will be needed for proper installation.

Comments about Sightmark 10-40x56 Tactical Riflescope:

First of all you can have a better scope, there is many than can be better, BUT - NOT AT THIS PRICE!
I have used this for bench shooting, works VERY WELL!
It is not good for hunting, and none of the scopes with such zoom will do, but for tactical/long range shooting with low budget you CAN'T BEAT it AT ALL.
The next better scope than this one will cost near to two grands, I have tried many in my local hunting store and found myself that I can't put that much money. I thought to buy a $1400 scope with much lesser zoom until I found this one.
I have it on match grade 30" barrel where I had 20x Vortex before. With 20x Vortex I had an issues to even see the target at 900 yrds, with this one I definitely CAN see it!
Only one drawback is - a bit lesser light transmission at full zoom, just don't pump it all the way up. Actually many scopes have this issue, as I said the better one will cost MUCH more.
One more thing - I fired over a thousand rounds with it - still good.
It is big and heavy, so make sure you got a higher and good quality rings, the one set is included, but those was too low for my barrel, so I have ordered the Vortex "Medium" height, those was good, but fitment was quite tight, so check to make sure you got the right height.
Reticle highlighting is a very nice thing and it is evenly distributed.
It's somehow reduced the recoil due to the added weight, but you have to make sure that it mounted tight.
Generally speaking if you want to make a very good target rifle with total price way below two grands but capable make a very good shot over 500 yrds, you can't beat this one!

I also tried it on Mosin-Nagant 7.62x54R this one have a stronger recoil than .308 Win, still holds.
Actually Mosin with russian sniper ammo can put it within a standard letter size page easily, at 900 yrds. At 300 yrds and with LPS ammo it constantly shoot a sub-MOA, except when my own arm was the problem.
Which is really hard to beat with any other rifle below three grands.
When my setup costs about $550 rifle + $300 scope + $50 mount and rings. And ammo costs around 50 cents/round.

Well worth the money and will buy again.
