For the price, this VariZoom VZ-TK75A has been a very decent tripod, and its been my principle tipod for the past year.
There is one major problem that has developed over time:
The fluid head's handle is made of two pieces, attached near the screw. Whatever part that is holding the handle to the part that screws into the fluid head has started to wear loose. The handle now has some jostle, which adversly affects filming fluidity.
I will contact VariZoom about this, and if they cannot help, I'll have to replace this arm.
Another smaller problem that I've worked around, is the plate tightens to the head via a poorly designed screw that, if your camera hangs over the edge, the screw will not be able to turn far enough to tighten prooperly, b\c the camera is in the way.
PROS:
The fluid head is sturdy, and adjustable tilt has held up and delivered great shots. I typically throw a Canon DSLR with a 70-200mm lens on this tripod, and the resulting shots are consistently great.
WEIGHT SUPPORT / GLIDETRACK
I have attached a Glidetrack to the tripod, but I get significant sway as the camera weight shifts from one side to the other. If you're thinking of using it for a slider, try something sturdier.

Although a valuable product in a pinch, there are several reasons to go for the higher end products. This product is a great item for the new rig but the camera plate connection is hard to remove and difficult to position when the camera is reconnected. If you don't have a thousand dollars to spend on a tripod then this is quite alright. Don't use this if you need quick release and reattachment.

Even though I am new to Videography, (not new to photography), I can easily appreciate the quality and value of this product. Have used it in front of some pros in the Biz and they have also been very impressed. So I am Very pleased with this purchase. And considering the small fortune I paid for my Gitzo carbon fiber w/ hydrostatic ball head, that only comes out on special occasions, this purchase was a no brainer.

Comments about VariZoom VZ-TK75A Aluminum Tripod System:
Light but sturdy and has smooth motion for pans and tilts. I use it for the Canon XA10. The best thing about this product was the customer service from B&H. I asked them, is this a fluid head and they said no it's a friction head as are all tripods in this price range. I've seen the term "fluid head" tossed around a lot and it was nice to get an honest answer. I had seen a demo of the tripod, liked it and bought it. I am glad I did. Only drawback is that the drag adjust does not make a lot of difference but the smoothness of the motion makes up for it.

I was looking for a good, professional tripod this sistem was the best choice for me, got good stability dont let its size fool you its heavy and stable
the only con is that the shoe has only one screw and no double lock sistem so you have to thigt the shoe screw really hard so the camera has no chance to get loose and move. overall it a great product.
Comments about VariZoom VZ-TK75A Aluminum Tripod System:
I now have 2 of these for each of my cameras. You can't get a better deal for the money. The legs are stable and the head pans very smoothly. It does, however, tighten up noticeably when shooting in cold weather so just keep that in mind.
The handle that connects to the head was defective and wouldn't tighten properly...BH sent me another handle at no charge at all so now it's perfect.
Also, I put a manfrotto quick release plate on it for interconnectivity with my 2 cameras.

Comments about VariZoom VZ-TK75A Aluminum Tripod System:
For the money this is a great tripod, it comes with one arm, so if you like a little extra control, you need to buy a second arm.
The only negative I can say is the head is a little tight when you got big fingers like me, it can be a bit tough to easily adjust and get the camera plate off. Also you need a coin or screw driver to get the plate off of the camera.

Comments about VariZoom VZ-TK75A Aluminum Tripod System:
If you are looking for a tripod to set a camera on, this would work. If you are looking to pan, tilt and (heaven forbid) try to get your video camera off or on in a hurry, invest in something better. The plate is far from a quick release (costing valuable shooting time when in a rush) and by its second use the head was beginning to wobble and loosen. I do like the legs. They extend well and quickly, and are stable.

Compares reasonably well to my Viten 3 tripod system that costs nearly 10 times as much supporting ~3 lbs camcorder. Tripod is light weight which is good for transport but some spring-back at end of pan due to twisting of legs. Pans and tilts are smooth. Able to balance and adjust friction so that no movemet when hands off handle. Comes with case and spreader.

I am an independent Filmmaker and I bought this Tri-pod out of shere curiosity. The specs had everything I was looking for and the price was unbelivable. I had to buy this thing and see for myself. I Love It! and for the price, I've got my eyes open for the catch... so far, there isn't any. If you are on a budget and need a good tr-pod, pick up this tri-pod, it made me into a loyal fan of verizoom products... will be getting a Jib next.

I use this tripod when shooting video with my DSLR camera. The pan and tilt are very smooth and the legs are rigid. Nice features with the mid level spreader, padded bag and the long telescopic pan handle. I have worked with very high end equipment for many years and to find equipment that emulates gear that costs thousands for less than a couple hundred bucks is pretty incredible! The head has adjustable tilt friction but not adjustable friction for the pan. Fortunately the pan friction has a good feel to it. I have showed this tripod system to many of my friends in the TV industry and they all want to purchase one also.

It's lighter than the more expensive tripods, the head is easy to use, folds easy, and has a smooth pan and tilt. The quick clip attachment can be awkward if you are in a hurry to detach or re attach the camera. The level bubble works well, even though I've read bad reviews on this feature.
