PictoricoPro Hi Gloss White Film may be an unusual media for photographers used to working with more standard photo papers. Not a paper-based stock at all, it is a white film sheet that looks and feels like ... well, like plastic. The surface is probably as close to a "pure white" as I've seen, and is extremely smooth and highly reflective.

To my eye, at any rate, it has about the highest D-Max of any media I've ever printed on. Blacks are exceptionally rich and deep, and colors have the brilliant saturation and intensity of Velvia.

As you might expect from such a highly reflective surface, there is going be some gloss differential when viewed from an angle, but it is surprisingly less than I'd expected. On several black and white prints, I saw no evidence of bronzing. The surface is tough and seems to resist scratching well.

PictoricoPro Hi-Gloss White Film has a lot to recommend it if you're in love with very glossy prints with very high color saturation and deep blacks. I generally prefer a more subdued palette in most of my work, but when I want maximum saturation in a print above all else this product is about as good as it gets.

On the down side, some may have trouble relating to its highly "plastic" look and feel, which is very unlike regular glossy or semi-glossy photo papers. But this is going to be your own subjective impression. And once your prints are behind glass, the plastic feel issue is academic anyway. Having seen no reports on this, I can't vouch for color stability or print durability, but I'd assume these are at least average.

I can certainly recommend PictoricoPro Hi-Gloss White Film, though with somewhat narrow applications. I may love the taste, but I wouldn't want to eat ice cream for every meal.

This is my best film for digital negatives for silver gelatin darkroom printing.
Recently I printed silver prints from digital negatives, created on this film 5 years ago and result is wonderful.
Ron Reeder was right, recommending this film in his book"Digital Negatives".
For alternative process with UV light I use a different Pictorico-OHP Transparency film.

Comments about Pictorico Pro Hi-Gloss White Film for Inkjet Printing (8.5 x 11", Letter):

Tested this inkjet film against Kodak Metallic and Ilford Prestige Hi-Gloss Smooth for the purpose of seeing whether I could get a look close to the old Ilfochrome/Cibachrome on color prints. I used a HP Photosmart 8750 and, since I could not get ICC profiles for the printer and each specific paper, I let the printer manage the colors (forgive me). The results were quite true to the original file for all three and spectacular in all cases. All three papers gave me what I wanted. However, the Kodak was a slight favorite over all, because it appeared to me to have the best detail. This may have had something to do with ink absorbtion and spreading, but it printed superbly and I was more likely to choose this paper over the other two. Sadly, the Picotorico is hyped as the paper you can't compare with all the others since it will perform better, but I didn't find this to be true. Realizing that these results are from an older generation printer, I can only hope that someone will find this test helpful.

Perhaps they should have named this paper "Extreme Gloss." It hides nothing. The reflective surface does not detract in the least from the view-ability. It's tough and durable. Technically it's not actually paper; it's a plastic (?) sheet. I recommend you try it.

The only thing that i was nervous about with this paper was which side to print on. But the paper has one of its corners missing, and that needs to be on the top right side as the paper is sitting in the printer. And thats how you know that you have the paper facing the correct direction.

Comments about Pictorico Pro Hi-Gloss White Film for Inkjet Printing (8.5 x 11", Letter):
