The Manfrotto 035RL Super Clamp is made of lightweight cast alloy. The Super Clamp is a very versatile tool and it holds just about anything: cameras, lights, umbrellas, hooks, shelves, plate glass, cross bars, even other Super Clamps.
The Super Clamp can be securely mounted on any tube from 0.5" to 2.1" and is supplied with a unique wedge insert for clamping onto flat surfaces. A built-in socket allows the use of over 30 attachments to hold anything from backgrounds to lighting fixtures.
The Standard Stud (2908/03614) is included. This item replaces old catalog #2900.

Super Clamp holds well on round surfaces as-is. There is a plastic wedge-shaped insert, supplied with the clamp, that is stored outside of the main body of the unit and is held in place by the knob that is used to tighten the spigot. If you loosen that knob and remove the wedge, you can place the wedge inside the clamp and then the clamp will attach firmly to a squared-off surface such as the corner of a table. Watch for copious amounts of grease protruding from the screw threads and on the end of the screws - I suggest you clean the factory grease off but every time I use the unit I still end up getting grease on my hands and have to wash them before touching cameras or light modifiers. The main tightening handle is plastic and is somewhat disappointing. Unlike the metal handle used on, for example, the Manfrotto 026 swivel umbrella adapter, this unit does not have a ratcheting mechanism with a button on the end of the handle, so the only way to tighten it is to move it around in a circular manner, which takes a lot more room than a ratchet handle would. If the handle and wedge were metal and if the handle had a ratchet I would give this clamp 5 stars; in this case I think 4.5 stars are in order so I will round it off to 5. Recommended.

Super Clamp OK but Stud bad quality
superclamp is strong and can support weight but be careful with studs as it broked and could not support a Dslr + objectivo (around 2kg)

I use off camera speedlights quite a bit, and in some places there is not the room to put a lightstand.
These are rugged and durable. I never have any anxioty about a flash falling when I use them.

Comments about Manfrotto 035RL Super Clamp with Standard Stud:
I bought this because I always had Matthews mafer clamps but I wanted to add a manfrotto 2nd 5/8" spigot attachment that did not fit on the Matthews. It fits fine on this unit. Otherwise it seems like 6 of one and half a dozen of the other... I just feel more comfortable with the Matthews clamp.

I was surprised at the different ways I could use this gear. It allowed me to put a light in hard to reach places and I felt good that it was secured where I placed it. It is good on location to mount to poles or fences etc. I have a couple that I've added to my tool kit.

I bought this clamp to use with a Manfrotto ball head. However, I soon found I had to purchase a short 3/8" stud to make the ball head sit flush on the clamp. It is well-built and rock solid.

I bought these clamps as replacements for several that had gotten lost over the years. These are exact replacements and they work great. I sometimes use the Manfrotto 143BKT camera bracket, and sometimes these 035RL brackets - it's nice having several of each to choose from, depending on the application.

This is solid, well made and does the job just the way you want it. My space is very tight and where I wanted to put it initially didn't allow me to twist the handle full circle when tightening. Went back to store to see if any other brand offered the type of handle where you can lift it out and reset the position. That does not exist - why I still gave it 5 stars. I actually bought a second one plus one of a different brand with a different type of handle.
