I picked one of these up recently for use with my Nikon speedlights. Figured it would come in handy for times when I didn't want to use a stand, or just couldn't.
I was right! I've been loving this thing! Paired with a simple umbrella/flash bracket, you can mount a small flash pretty much anywhere.
My latest use was clamping an SB-800 to the side of a tree to throw a little fill on a car I was shooting. Worked perfectly!
If you find yourself without anywhere to place a lightstand, but a convenient shelf/door/tree branch, this is the clamp you want.

We used this clamp to temporarily "mount" several cameras outdoords. It clamped very nicely to wood beams, poles, and a metal shelf. We have had no issues with rain or wind.
Be careful when losening the clamp, especially if you are trying to stretch the mouth to fit a larger object, as the crank, washer, and other parts will quickly come undone and will need to be pieced back together.

It clamps on just about anything! I use it with Manfrotto 237HD Heavy-Duty Flex Arm and it works. Depending on the where you are shooting this could be lifesaver. Best uses is where you can't use a light stand.

Comments about Manfrotto 035 Super Clamp without Stud:
I use Deluxe Autopoles along with two manfrotto 035 super clamps and two manfrotto 039 "U" hooks made for use with the Super Clamp and electrical conduit to hang muslim backgrounds in a very small studio. The hooks and clamps make for a nice system but still requires clamps to stretch the cloth. Instructions aren't very clear for the poles but when you get it once it's easy.

Best clamp I've come across. Used for 5 day off-road jeep adventure and it performed flawlessly. Gopro camera at high speeds and very bumpy conditions (would use for heavier camera as well) Secure, adaptable, heavy duty and priced very resonably...can't ask for more.

Comments about Manfrotto 035 Super Clamp without Stud:
I purchased this clamp to hold my DSLR on a table or pole, and with a tiny GoPro video camera. The clamp opens wide enough for 2" pipe, but also securely grabs a flat piece of metal. It works well for long exposures on the DSLR when you don't have a tripod. There are several options to attach the cameras to it. It is a bit heavy, but you can't have the same quality without added weight.

Used this to hold my camera to my jib via a Manfrotto magic arm when my tripod head broke. It definitely helps out in a pinch. Also used this to hold a boom pole to a C-Stand arm and saved me from hiring another worker.
It has multiple uses and your imagination is the limit. It holds up to 30lbs (14kg) in weight. I'd recommend getting at least a couple of these.

The Super Clamp is super. What else can be said about it?
Perfect for mounting a video monitor to your tripod (instead of balancing everything on the hot shoe mount.) The clamp will also hold lights, or anything else you can think of.
Very sturdy design and build. You can really crank down on the tightening arm to lock it in place.
Great product and worth every penny!

This is a solid clamp, B&H uses these all over the store to display lighting products, that should tell you something. Save a few bucks and grab the one with out the stud, who doesnt have a few extras rolling around their bag?
yes its heavy, but I'm sure it will last. Add an adjustable arm or umbrella head to really make it useful.
