I use Deluxe Autopoles along with two manfrotto 035 super clamps and two manfrotto 039 "U" hooks made for use with the Super Clamp and electrical conduit to hang muslim backgrounds in a very small studio. The hooks and clamps make for a nice system but still requires clamps to stretch the cloth. Instructions aren't very clear for the poles but when you get it once it's easy.

I use these to hold long bars with either a backdrop paper or a muslin background. They are simple, but work great. I will probably buy another set soon.

These hooks work great for holding cross bars on Autopoles to support various backgrounds. Another use is to attach a Super Clamp to light stand and attach a U-Hook. Then use the U-Hook to hang battery pack strap for off-camera shooting. Attach Super Clamp with U-Hook to center column of tripod to hang stabilizing weight back or bag with extra gear.

These are perfect for clipping into Super Clamps to hang crossbars on Autopoles. But they also work wonderfully with Super Clamps to hang Profoto packs from light stands. Since it's Manfrotto, it's well-made and will last for years. All that being said, the price is more than fair. Very satisfied.

I use these for holding backdrops and lighting. It really frees up studio space and releases the need for a lot of stands all around. I use 3 with two DA-LITE cross poles and can go between hanging backdrops and 7 ft scrims with ease. Then I use a fourth to hang off daylight balanced continuous lighting when I need that extra amount of ambient to ensure solid focusing. If you have a combination of sleaved backdrops and cored backdrops you may want to go the same route. I also created my own pinned BD holder by using two super clamps each with a manfroto MA203 extension a couple of MA103 Spigots and two PHSBGS Replacement studs. That will fit almost everything from DALIGHT to Phototek and insure the background is held as high as possible and securely. I like this solution way better than the U Hook crossbar holders. for just a little bit more cost.

These hooks are accessories for the Manfrotto Super Clamps: one hook is mounted in each of two clamps. I use a closet pole as a bar to hold seamless background rolls to clamp on cloth backdrops. Also, products can be hung with monofilament for photographing from a crossbar between the hooks. The Super Clamps can be clamped to any ordinary light stands as the base for these clamp-hook setups. Much less bulky than a dedicated background holder.

I switched from the 3-hook array (Manfrotto 045) because this one accepts thicker crossbars. The 045 only accepts 1/2 inch pipes, which is too flimsy for a wide seamless or Savage Infinity vinyl seamless. This one can take a 3/4 inch or a full inch conduit pipe, which is cheap and sturdy. I thought the 3-hook array 045 would save space but it just added more frustration. Other than that, this hook 039 has nothing special.

These are a must if you use a background core without the Manfrotto expan system. (I make mine out of galvanized electrical conduit.)

These hooks are light and sturdy and have a hole drilled through the bottom of the hook that can be useful for securing poles, ropes, etc. The hooks quickly and easily plug into the Manfrotto #035 SuperClamps.

Aside from occasionally hanging background poles I mostly use these to hang 7Bs from stands on location by coupling them with a super clamp. That acts as a great sand bag as well as making the whole set up easy to move.

Good strong bar holders, snap straight into a super clamp. You can position your cross bar anywhere on your stands using this method. Recommended.

These are original hooks and I used them immediately on a multi-day shoot on location where we had high winds. The hooks were flawless, held packs, sand bags and other stuff with no issue. We also used them to rig some last-minute backdrops that were not planned and the hooks saved us.

Very well built and they work great with Super Clamps along with the Auto Pole Extension. You can hang background paper on the extension pole or use them as a 'safety' when rigging lights.
