The Canon DR-E5 DC Coupler used in conjunction with a compatible AC adapter (not included) allows you to power your Canon EOS Rebel XSi Digital Camera directly from an AC Power source. This is a preferable means of powering the camera when shooting in a studio environment, when shooting tabletop product photography, or any photo situation where the camera may need to be powered up for long periods of time.

We use several couplers at once for our 3D portrait multi-camera system. We sold many systems to our customers. We have never had any problems with them. They are always reliable and fit well.

I use along with Canon CA-PS700 with Canon XSI in studio ,as well as with XSI coupled to telescope,I don't worry about batteries going dead and losing an image.

Always the first accessory I buy for a new camera. Very dependable. Great battery saver when learning a new camera, installing firmware updates, using the camera in live view or with a computer. Also good to have along on the road when shooting from a car or if the camera's battery dies. Plug the ac adapter into an inverter connected to your car's power outlet.
