Engineered Excellence and Design
Simplicity of design and superior quality of its digital processors, power supply, and construction make it a definitive leader in the industry.
Superior Sound Quality
With a frequency response of 5Hz - 25KHz, dynamic power output of 2x 50W, signal-to-noise ratio of 100dB, it can reproduce a full musical sound range from deep bass tones to ultra-high trumpet blasts.
Advanced Processing
Most of the amplifier's audio processing is handled automatically, with little intervention on your part. However, the AMP102 is so advanced; its discrete low-level output reproduces music with unmatched sonic clarity and dynamic power.
Totally Bridgeable
It offers the ability to reproduce 75W per channel into a 4 ohm load, or 150W mono channel into 8 ohms.

Comments about AudioSource AMP102 Stereo Power Amplifier:

I've bought a couple of these amps, and so far, I'm pretty happy with them. The amplifier remains stable with two pairs of 8-Ohm speakers attached in parallel. The sound quality is very adequate, especially for the low price-point. It's twice the amp than the AudioSource Amp 100.

A unique feature of the AudioSource amps, is the automatic switching for a local source or second input. If the second input, such as a local TV, has an output, it overrides the other source. It can come in handy.

Comments about AudioSource AMP102 Stereo Power Amplifier:

When my beloved Sansui AU717 integrated stereo amp (85 wpc), used only to handle a Sony ES Series CD player, became too problematic for continued use, I happened on reviews of the AudioSource 102. The reviews were complimentary, it had balance and volume controls and the lack of a remote volume control wasn't an issue as my CD player remote did have that feature. The 102 arrived via UPS Ground, nicely packed, the day after I placed my order--good performance by both B&H and UPS as I live about 90 miles west of NYC. Suffice it to say, I love this amp. I'm using an older version of the Paradigm Mini-Monitors and the detail, punch and smoothness of the sound are outstanding--noticeably better than with the Sansui. I primarily used Reference Recordings and Sheffiels Labs orchestral CD's for evaluation purposes. Note that I found a couple of pop music CD's unlistenable with the 102. It seems this amp is not for listening to poorly engineered albums. The 102 was so good and so affordable, I decided to buy another and use the pair in bridged mode for my two stereo channels. That will allow me to stay with the 102(s) if I move on to more power-hungry speakers. The pair worked just fine in bridged mode. I heartily recommend this amp, whether used singly or paired. I found no hum or buzz at any time. Using a single 102 at very loud volume, the two LED clipping indicators remained green with nary a flicker. The case never got warm and air at the top vent was essentially at room ambient. The manual is quite complete, though the English used to describe proper bridging connections requires a a minute or two to decipher. The units have a nice heft and their compact size makes placement quite easy. Just remember to use Input 2 and recognize that if you wish to input more than one component you'll need an external selector device (assuming you don't want to encounter some of the issues related to the sound-triggered Input 1 noted in many other on-line reviews of this amp).

Comments about AudioSource AMP102 Stereo Power Amplifier:

I'm using the AMP102 for my computer speakers, a pair of Advent Loudspeakers I purchased in 1978.

The amp is silent - no fan, no hiss. It's only 9" deep so it fits on the shelf on my computer desk. The front panel volume control is convenient, and unusual for a power amp.
