Comments about Gitzo GC-5100 Padded Tripod Bag:
I got this to hold a massive 5-series Gitzo tripod with a Wimberley WH 200 gimbol head attached. Before it arraived I was afraid I might have to struggle with the zipper when closing it, but it fits just fine.

Comments about Gitzo GC-5100 Padded Tripod Bag:
The bag is constructed very well, very good padding for most wear and tear handling. Full zipper capacity allows to reach accessories at the bottom or full open range to the bag.
Very heavy duty straps, handles that will last a long time. The zipper is very heavy duty.
This bag will take travel and use very well.
Takes my RRS TV-33 with full gimbel head with room to spare for ball head and mono pod.

Comments about Gitzo GC-5100 Padded Tripod Bag:
Has good padding. Zipper is backed with a rain/dust flap (ala rain coat). No dividers. Very small internal zipper pouch. Appears well constructed. Enough room for Gitzo Series 6 6x 3 section tripod and lots of room to spare (Wimberley sidekick gimbal mount, Arca swiss ball head, four speedlights, and a bit more).

Comments about Gitzo GC-5100 Padded Tripod Bag:
Very durable and padded. Best of all I can fit the Series 5 carbon tripod with kirk King Cobra attached and the Gitzo center post with swiss-arca ball head attached. All in one bag ready at a moment's notice to head out to shoot.

Comments about Gitzo GC-5100 Padded Tripod Bag:
Certainly a bit pricey, but with Gitzo products you come to expect that. I originally purchased the 3100 for used with a 3 series CF tripod, but when outfitted with a Wimberly gimbal head I found the smaller bag slightly too narrow (but long enough). The GC5100 solved this problem for me and provides plenty of room for the set up I have.

I use this bag to protect tripod while traveling in the car. It's the perfect size and weight with just enough padding. I love the zippers ability to go either way.

Comments about Gitzo GC-5100 Padded Tripod Bag:
Much better than the Manfrotto bag. I bought it for the big Manfrotto CF tripod. The Manfrotto bag looks like a good bag but the way the zipper wraps around the top it's difficult to zip and looks like it would become a problem.

Comments about Gitzo GC-5100 Padded Tripod Bag:
Not much to say about this tripod bag; It is adequately padded, and the zipper is heavy-duty enough. Nice dull black color, and the Gitzo logos are small and can be easily removed. Bag can be folded when not in use, unlike the 'formed' bags from Manfrotto. Too bad it's at, or near, list price, but most name-brand photo gear is these days. Stated size is accurate without any extra room to spare, so measure accurately before ordering.

Comments about Gitzo GC-5100 Padded Tripod Bag:
My Gitzo GT5561SGT tripod with Manfrotto 503HDV head are very easy to both load and unload from the bag. It's a high quality built bag that should last me many years to come.
