The Tenba Shootout Backpack, Mini (Black) is a padded weather-resistant Ripstop nylon backpack made to carry a digital SLR 2-3 lens outfit. It has a padded dividable main section for photo equipment. There is a fully adjustable harness/belt system, and hand carrying straps on top of the pack and on both sides to let you "grab and go" from any position.
The Shootout backpack has padded side pockets that feature interior panels that can be moved to convert the space from cargo pocket to QuickAccess interior hatches. This allows fast, easy retrieval of a lens or accessory without having to fully remove or open the entire pack. There are interior clear, plasticized mesh pockets and web loops to hold accessories plus a Media wallet and Phone/Music pouch.
The backpack also features a MSTC (Multi-Stage Tripod Carrying) system which adjusts to securely and optimally carry tripods of varying sizes and styles. A fast deploying WeatherWrap auxiliary protection cover fully encloses the entire harness for hand carrying or storage.

I primarily use this backpack to store and transport my SLR/lens. It is roomy and sturdy. Not only can it fit a lot of my gear (fits approximately 3 medium-large lenses + body, with room for flash and smaller lenses), but it also doesn't look too big (looks like a normal-sized backpack).
Although there are some cons regarding this backpack, they are by no means the fault of this product, but simply necessities to protect the camera gear. Here are things I did not expect, and my opinions are why they were like that:
- zippers are hard to open (this is to provide better weather/water sealing -- it really looks like water cannot get through to the inside)
- the entire backpack is rock hard (not soft like school backpacks), making it FEEL really big against your back. (this again, is to provide better cushioning and protection for the camera gear inside).

This is one of the best built bags I've used. This is the smallest of four in this series of backpacks made by Tenba. This is an all black with a medium gray interior. The bag comes with a media wallet to hold your memory cards and case for your cell phone. I was able to fit the following gear into this backpack:
● Nikon D300 w/ 18-200mm Attached
● 80-200mm f2.8
● Sigma10-20mm
● 50mm f1.8
● Nikon SB-800 Speedlight
● Miscellaneous accessories
● Bogen 3001BD tripod attached to the exterior
I also own the Medium size of the backpack which will also accommodate my 15.6" notebook a pro sized body and room for more lenses and speedlights.

I haven't taken this backpack outside yet. This is a smaller back pack which is why I chose it. It is very well made with enough pockets to store all my stuff. I will store my Canon 60D camera plus two lens,a flash, and my binoculars. All I need is a destination.

Loaded up with SLR+ 2 lenses, leaves room enough in the main holding area for another camera body, additional lens. Perfect compact size for hiking and recreational use as well as professional shoots. Meets carry-on flight requirements.

I got it because it'll carry my manfrotto 055CXPRO3. I do mostly landscape and wanted a smaller bag but able to transport a full size tripod. It holds a body, couple extra lenses and filters with room to spare.

I purchased the Shootout Backpack to safely transport my Nikon D7000 and all it's stuff to my son's hockey games and our college tours. I've been very happy with the quality and it's ability to fit my growing photography collection.

I'll know better how it serves me after my shooting trip to South America, it holds all the important gear snug and is a true mini size. I like that since my goal is to have the least amount of space as possible for my gear. It looks like the waterproof sealing is going to be great.

A little cramped. shoulder straps a bit too small to wear over large winter jacket. Enough room for a mid-size DSLR with a long lens (ie 70-200) along with a few extras.

I got this Backpack mainly to take my gear when Cycling, and for transportation to shooting locations, as such is very comfortable, rugged, and seems very well made.
Like all backpacks, its not designed for quick acces to your gear when walking.
I bought the mini size to force myself to carry less gear, as I usually tend to overpack, nevertheless, this "mini" size holds:
1 Canon 5D with Battery Grip (it fits better without the battery grip)
1 Canon 70-200 2.8 L Is with hood
1 Canon 20-70 2.8 L with hood
1 Canon 2x Tele Extender
1 Canon 480 Ex Flash
1 Hv20 Camcorder on one of the side pockets
cable release, batteries, filter pouch, assorted memory cards, cell phone, pen, Mic etc.
1 Tripod (on my first outings I took an old Cullman Magic 2, but it looks like it will carry my full size manfrotto).
after this there is not much space availiable.
I myself am a Billingham shoulder bag lover, will keep them for street shooting.
but the backpack has been a nice adition to my camera bag "collection"
I am a lover os Billingham shoulder bags, and
