Impact Collapsible Circular Reflector Disc - Gold/Silver - 22"
This Impact Collapsible Circular Reflector Disc is a versatile lighting tool for in the field and in the studio. It allows you to bring out the shadow detail in your subject, using available or studio lighting. In addition, the colored surface allows you to modify the color of your subject. Your choice of color -- gold or silver -- will be determined by the lighting conditions and your personal preference.
This 22" disc is suitable for headshots and small still-life setups. It folds down to 1/3 its open size, and comes with a storage sleeve. We suggest the purchase of a pivoting arm and stand to hold the disc where needed -- especially if you are working without an assistant.
- Gold creates a warm, summery feel that works great with skin tones near sunrise or sunset.
- Silver produces a neutral-colored highlight that works beautifully as a fill light source for both product shots and indoor/outdoor portraits.

Worked as intended/stated. Easy to fold and store in a day pack. I carry 2 usually of a couple different colors. Odd tidbit... was not allowed to take them out onto the observation deck at the Empire State Building... was told they would be too big... too bad for me as they would have been invaluable up there...

Okay, I'm not a portrait photographer, but I do understand light. I don't have a studio, but I need light. And, I don't have these types of accessories, until now. When I show people how these work, they are amazed.
It is the perfect size for portability, but know it's more suitable for a head/torso shot than a larger subject. It's a reasonable trade-off.
I've had it only a short time, so I can't answer to it's longevity, but it should have a good Return on Investment.
Oh, and hold on tight when you open it, or it'll attack you. Folding it takes practice, don't do it in front of your customer unless you're good. I can't do it like the instructions say, but found an alternative way.

I've been mostly using the silver side and the light bounces off toward my subject's face very well!
It comes with a little case which the disc can be folded and stored in. It's very light and the collapsed size is very easy to carry around.
Though, the metal is kind of weak. I'm a little worried that it's going to be bent out of shape at some point...

22" sounded bigger than it really is. Still, this is helpful, especially until I get my second strobe.
The silver gives a nice, but small fill effect. The gold side gives a nice warm glow for ourdoors fill work. This will ONLY work for up close portraits.
Comes with a tiny storage bag for when it is collapsed. That was a nice add.
