Detaches easily. Bought too many already, put some tape around so you cover its' top and some of the prism. good luck!

If you rely on eyeglasses as I do, you wouldn't be caught without a spare. In this day of ultra-thin, ultra coated, and ultra expensive glasses, the damage done to your lenses without the eyecup is costly. Meaning, if you accidentally misplace this, you'll want to keep a spare just for that circumstance and greatly extend the life of your prescription.

As noted by others, this eyecup has a lose-fit feel when you attach it. However, I have no issues with it dislodging. It looks and feels exactly like the orginal in every other way. To get 5 stars from me, the install feel would need to signal more confidence it would not come off by feeling more snug.

I lost my eyecup on a recent vacation to Florida. The sun poses particular problems in getting the right shot to begin with; however, it is worse when you cannot get a good read on your subject when extra light hits your eye as you are trying to focus on your subject. The eyecup helps keep out excessive light and provides an extra "bumper" for those of us that wear glasses. The replacement eye cup works just as well as the original. The only concern is that it does not fit quite as tight as I would like, thus the danger of loosing the new one is in the back of my mind. I would recommend this product to others.
