I use this product in areas where the spread of lightstand legs would take up too much room, such as the interior of someone's home, close to the wall at trade events, wedding receptions, etc. They are also handy to hold lights for outdoor shooting in a gazebo or a park shelter. The autopoles attach easily, firmly and securely. When properly secured, they will not come loose until you are ready to take them down. Your equipment is safe when properly attached to these sturdy poles. They will reach a height of 13'8" and extensions are available to add another 6' feet or so. I highly recommend this product.

Good quality but I wish I'd known the diameter of these poles. It won't attach to the wall mount brackets I purchased.

I use these to replace the standard light stands in my studio. I wish I had them years ago. They allow the strobe to be as close as possible to the wall, way closer than light stands. I have a small studio and the light stand legs were always in the way. Highly recommend them.

Comments about Manfrotto 032BSET Autopoles, Black - Set of Two:
I have no complaints about these autopoles. They are so great. just out of the box, and up they went. I shoot in a small space, and these were perfect. no cumbersome tripod legs to take up all kinds of space. nope. just two poles, the hooks and the paper and I was shooting in 20 minutes. No need to take them down when not using them.

I recently moved into a VERY small studio and needed backdrop stands that did not take up a lot of room. These are PERFECT! There are no balancing legs taking up space or making tripping hazards! They are sturdy and easy to transport! LOVE THEM!

Perfect situations that you don't have enough width for tripod legs. I have 2 sets, one holds my backdrops, the other set holds my side lights.

Comments about Manfrotto 032BSET Autopoles, Black - Set of Two:
I use these to attach studio lighting for product photography. Very versatile and easily moved to different locations. Since there are no "tripod legs", movement around the stands for different shooting angles elimates the chance of tripping over any legs and knocking over the lamps. These stands are easy to extend and securely lock into place. Hardware and locking lever are strongly made. The safety button is a nice feature which prevents the lock from becoming disengaged accidently. The rubber ends to not mar or damage painted ceilings. Solidly made of metal.
Great value and quite useful!

I bought these poles to save floor space in my basement Photo Studio. They were set up in :30 seconds and work great for holding my Alien Bee Strobes. Just make sure you buy Super Clamps to attach light too.
Great price. Great design. No complaints.

These are a great set of poles. Sets up quick and seem to be secure enough. Not as solid as the deluxe version but good enough. Save yourselves a little trouble and pick up the spirit level. Makes gettin a straight setup extremely smooth and quick.

Comments about Manfrotto 032BSET Autopoles, Black - Set of Two:
The Manfrotto Autopoles are a quick, sturdy, safe way to put up a background with a very small footprint. Great for location portrait photography as well as projecting on. I also use them with the leg bases, sold separately, for location work where there are no walls or the ceilings are very high. They also can be used to mount a light or remote camera in a high obscure place where most stands can't get to. All in all, an awesome product that has been around for a long time with a proven track record.

After almost buying a background support system with the tri-pod style legs, I found these. They work great and only take up about 4" of floor space as opposed to 18" for typical legs.
