I used this tray for legal paper, like this i don't have to feed in manually legal paper. the unit automatically selects the correct tray.

We added this tray to our printer so we would not have to keep switching between letter & legal size paper. This tray holds legal size paper (it will also hold regular letter size) & the extra length sticks out in the back, rather then in the front of the printer. It was incredibly easy to install, just set the printer on top of the tray, & the software immediately recognized the tray.
