This set of two Manfrotto Deluxe Black Autopoles are like the standard, but with a heavier duty locking mechanism. The locking lever has a safety lock in the handle and two position locking settings: one setting utilizes standard locking pressure lift, and the second provides extra pressure for a firmer hold.
The Autopole 2 Deluxe expands from 6.8-12.1' (2-3.7 m). It replaces old catalog #2950D.

A must have! Not only do they reduce the footprint that stands create, Autopoles have proved themselves to be reliable and durable even when extended to there limit.

These auto poles work great for our studio as a seamless paper background system. Along with the single hook and expand system we can shoot against any background by easily swapping rolls over or fully dismantle it leaving the studio bare in just a few minutes.

Love this Backdrop System. It was easy to set up and use. It is only 1" from the back wall so my muslin rail system fits easily in front of it without taking much studio space. The paper drive system allows me to quickly and easily switch backgrounds with no hand-rolling or ladders.

Comments about Manfrotto 432-3.7B Deluxe Autopole 2, Black - Set of Two:
These poles are very versatile. Although intended for background support, right now we are using a set of four poles to support our latest photographic exhibition at our gallery. They are very easy to use and very strong. The super clamps that go with the poles are only limited by one's imagination. Overall it is a well thought out system and well built.

I bought these Auto Poles to replace C-stands in my studio to hold up my green screen. They work great, have less of a foot print and can also be used in many other applications.

I have been using Manfrotto products for years and have ALWAYS been very pleased with everyone of their fine products. Each piece of their gear is built to last...they are rock solid, very sturdy and priced well below their value. These AutoPoles are exactly the quality I have come to expect from Manfrotto. I use these to reduce the "footprint" for my backdrops and lights in the studio.

The smaller footprint was perfect! I was able to set-up my studio backdrop in a small space! No support legs to contend with!
The tension mechanism secures it to the ceiling and floor. Stable, secure and easy to set-up.

Comments about Manfrotto 432-3.7B Deluxe Autopole 2, Black - Set of Two:
I own three pair of autopoles and probably could use more. The autopoles can be supports for scrims or black-out fabrics and also light stands but without legs to trip over. I've wrapped an entire room in white fabric to prevent the painted walls from casting color onto artwork. I also use them horizontally near the ceiling to support the light just where you want it, as in centered over a doorway. They also work great for using seamless paper. Even my clients, all non-photographers, immediately see the value of them. After hauling carloads of lighting equipment for decades, since switching to digital, I use few lights but almost always autopoles. I carry them everywhere.

i really like these poles. i hav ea small studio where space is at a premium. the autopoles don't have the base legs of a regular stand which i think get in the way. it is just a single pole that is very sturdy and fits easily up against a wall. i bought the brackets so i can hang several paper background roles and some lastolite backgrounds from poles that go between the poles

Comments about Manfrotto 432-3.7B Deluxe Autopole 2, Black - Set of Two:
I use these around the studio for all kinds of things, especially when combined with Super Clamps. Most obvious uses are backgrounds and as a jiffy lighting grid. I am always amazed at how sturdy and reliable they are. Then tension mechanism has never failed to provide sufficient pressure, and the pole itself can support a clamp-mounted lighting boom without bending.

I could not be more satisfied. These poles have the weight and feel of professional equipment. Easy to install and level although a built in level would be a welcome addition. The black color and the finish also add to the professional look. Sturdy and easy to use, I cannot think of a better or more cost efficient solution.
