I bought this bag for my Nikon D90 with 18-200mm lens and SB400 flash. I also carry a 72mm circular polarizer and memory cards.

This bag has more than enough room for all of this and more. The bag is bigger than what it looks like on-line and probably bigger than what I need but everything fits without being cramped. The pack is so deep that the camera with the lens can fit easily "lens first". The bag also has 2 nice small pockets on the underside of the "lid".

There is a lot of padding so I feel like my equipment is well protected.

The only thing I don't like is the opening. It is anything but "Quick Access" as the description says. It has 2 zippers that meet in the middle of the oblong opening. Problem is, these 2 zippers are not connected so you have to unzip one side at a time or zip all the way around to open.

I really wanted to like this bag, and it's probably great for riding bicycles and wearing it on your waist. But, Lowepro tends to make over-padded boxy designs and in this case, that forces the weight to sit farther out from your body. So when I wear it using the waist belt, it feels like I have a lunchbox that sticks out from my side and wags up and down when I walk.

Attachment points for shoulder strap are placed weird (just next to the top loop). This causes the bag to feel like a lunchbox wagging side to side when I use shoulder strap only. Feels more snug if you use both waist and shoulder straps. But then, putting it on and taking it off is a hassle.

I also felt that zipper tabs for the top compartment were hard to grasp/find. Overall, this bag does not move with me, does not stay close to the body.

Otherwise, the materials are top quality, construction is solid, the AW raincover can't be beat, and a water bottle pocket plus bottom straps for tripods/umbrellas/etc are all great to have. I just wish that LP hadn't designed this bag to feel like a lunch box, so that it sould be more comfortable to move around with.

I give 3 stars for features alone, but -2 stars for bad ergonomics.

Comments about Inverse 100 AW Beltpack (Arctic Blue with Black Trim):

Nice little bag for daily use. Holds my Pentax K-5IIs with 50-200 and has room for another lens and several extras for the day. Used it on a car adventure into the BWCA along the entry roads and fire trails. Kept everything handy for that trip to just grab and go when I found the shot much handier that way than bringing my Pelican that I use for permanent storage and travel protection. I was tossed between backpack style and butt pack glad I went this way for this application. I used a butt pack with my old system and found it handy XC skiing and snowshoeing and this should work even better with the additional storage options.

I was looking for a smaller backpack to carry a DSLR body and two lenses plus memory cards and few little extras. Couldn't find what I wanted in a backpack, so decided to try this. My equipment just fits. It's easy to tote around my waist and doesn't get in my way at assemblies or on hikes.

I was impressed with the construction and design of this product, but it was too cumbersome for me. I'm 5'3" with a small frame. The belt fit correctly, but the pack hit too high on my back and seemed to stick out behind me too far. I think it would be a great pack for anyone larger than me. I'm going to try a small Lowepro backpack instead.

Comments about Inverse 100 AW Beltpack (Arctic Blue with Black Trim):

I used this bag for a good week during a cruise last week. I went on 3 excursions and took this little bag through it's paces. I didn't give it a 5 star bc my org intent was to use it as a "belt-pack". It "works" as a belt pack but it's not very comfortable. It's quite "top heavy" with my Canon 7D (w/o grip) with EF 24-105L attached and 430ex flash inside. It attaches well as a belt pack but sometimes I was worried that the buckle would just "pop off" (maybe I was just paranoid) so I also had the should strap across my body as backup... especially when I was zip lining 30 feet above the Belizian jungle! Just using it as a belt pack meant that I had to pull and tighten the straps pretty tight bc as I mentioned, the pack was pretty top heavy and if I didn't tighten it, the pack would sag at my waist. So be prepared to wear it very tightly... as a belt pack.

But with the shoulder strap attached, it helps distribute the weight. And with the belt straps tucked in and just using the shoulder strap, it works great as a small "shoulder bag"! The great thing is that with this little bag, you have the option of wearing it as both a belt-pack and/or a shoulder bag.

Another reason it's top heavy is the way it's built. Lowepro always makes quality products and this was no exception. The build is top notched and everything is padded. I have no worries if I were to drop the bag from 6 ft up and worry about anything inside. Oh don't forget the all weather cover which is a nice bonus but I haven't used it yet. The front pocket is very small but I could fit my phone and wallet as well as small things like an extra battery and a couple of memory cards. The 2 side mesh pockets were nice but forget about putting "water bottles" in them if you're wearing it as a belt pack and have to pull on the straps to make it tight around your waist.

Overall this is a well built bag. It's small and won't fit much, but the good thing about it is that it can be used as both a belt-pack and/or a shoulder bag.

Before ordering I used Lowepro's own bagfinder function on their website. When I received the bag, I found it was just too small for my Canon 7D and an extra lens. Swapped it for the 200AW and it's excellent! The 100 is ideally for smaller DSLRs.

I am able to fit even more than I thought into this little pack. I am able to fit my 5D MK II, 135L, 35L and 50 1.4 (all without hoods) quite easily. In the front pouches I can keep an extra battery, keys, wallet. Water bottle holder on the side and tripod strap on the bottom makes this bag even better. I have a 200 roller and a Crumpler 7MDH and got this little bag for when I want to pack light. Construction is great like Lowepro bags always are. The fit is comfortable as well even fully loaded with the extra cinch straps, they keep the load from bouncing around. Only complaint is the green one isn't in stock anywhere so I settled on blue.

Love this bag. I use this bag on all my trips around town or local day hikes. I also used it on a longer day hike in Utah this past Fall, worked great. Tripod straps underneath with raingear. I own a Canon Powershot 30SXIS and it fits in the center just fine. This bag would be small for a DSLR. I've owned Lowepro products for over ten years and this one works great.

Grabbed this beltpack before a trip to Disney World. Fit my T2i w/ kit lens and another zoom, plus squeezed in a point and shoot for my wife to use. Was a bit of a squeeze, but I'm sure the Inverse 200 would be better if you need that much more room. The bag cinched up well even with water bottles in the two side pouches. The rain cover was great to have when the Florida skies weren't cooperating with our vacation. Main compartment was fairly easy to access while wearing and the detachable shoulder strap was great for the transitions to and from rides.

I got it mainly for carrying a 5DMk2 on a mtn bike. It works OK but the balance point with the belt attachment seems a little low or strange, takes some getting used to. The Lowepro Off Trail 1 feels better but the 5D is just too big to fit in it. Also the side attachment of the top cover requires running zipper around the back of the bag which can be hard to do at times.

Comments about Inverse 100 AW Beltpack (Arctic Blue with Black Trim):

I ordred this to try to carry a large DSLR and a lens or flash in a way that would spare my back compared to a backpack or shoulder strap bag. It sounded great and empty it fit great.

But when conservatively loaded it tried to twist around its belt and the bottom of the pack dug into my back in a most uncomfortable way. The bag seems to be mounted too high on the belt and since the usual camera loading is with the lens down and the body on top, it ends up top heavy to boot.

Very well made but the design seems to have been for looks instead of function, at least according to my back.

My camera(cannon eos) fits this bag with ease, also the extra lens fits with room too spare. I can also fit extra accessories in and some personal items . I like that the bag doesn't identify that there are camera products inside so it looks like a fancy fanny pack, discouraging thieves.also has enclosed rain protection -just in case

Comments about Inverse 100 AW Beltpack (Leaf Green with Black Trim):

I bought this bag solely for day hikes. I have a larger bag in which I normally keep my camera along with all it's accessories.

I considered buying the larger size but I'm glad I didn't. This one has plenty of room for a D80 with 18-200 zoom plus 35mm prime, filters, and then some. Waist straps are comfy and cinch straps compress the bag adequately. I like that the straps also tuck away when you're not using them, not to mention the built in rain cover. The camera compartment is easy to open with one quick motion.

The only complaint I have is that the 2 zippers that open the top aren't tied together meaning when you close it, you must either use 2 hands or zip one zipper at a time. Not a big deal. I noticed another reviewer fixed that with a shoelace or something. Good idea.

Comments about Inverse 100 AW Beltpack (Arctic Blue with Black Trim):

I bought this pack for a trip to Rwanda I was taking. I wanted something small enough to just hold my Nikon D200 with my 28-80 lense and one extra telephoto lens(Tamron 70-300). I wanted to pack light. This was perfect. Some hip packs are huge and stick out from the body too far. This was a comfortable and versatile pack. I was able to pack my pertinent extras and even a water bottle too. I was able to walk around and not feel exhausted from all the weight I was bearing. I like that the hip belt can be tucked in out of the way when I wanted to use the shoulder strap. Love the added water proof cover in case of torrential downpour. Luckily, I didn't end up needing it in Africa. Would recommend this product to anyone. Thanks Lowepro for a great item.

The construction is very strong and allows easy access to accessories. It best suites tall and robust people: I am 5.2 and the volume around the hip is quite large for me and the shoulder strap too long even at its minimum. The base of the bag feels less protective then the sides.

Used the bag to haul around camera and extra lens for a vacation trip.

The bag is very convenient to get to the camera and lens. It holds two small water bottles on the outside for those hot days. It holds a tripod on the bottom of the bag. It has a great rain cover that is hidden under the bag that's very easy to install quickly.

The belt didn't work too well for me, but that may be just my body type. I stuck with the shoulder strap, which seemed to work okay. There wasn't enough room for a larger lens, even by rearranging the padding in the bag, although a larger lens could probably sit in one of the water pouches.
