Comments about C2G 50703 IEEE-1394B Cable (FireWire):
I have some older computer equipment and external hard drives that were made before the adoption of FW800 (9-pin) as a standard; consequently, they use FW400 (6-pin) connections. To link them to my Mac Pro desktop and my Macbook Pro laptop, I find this cable invaluable.

Comments about C2G 50703 IEEE-1394B Cable (FireWire):
If you have purchased a new Macbook Pro then you know that FW800 is the only FW port available. This cord is a necessity for those who still have External HDs with only FW400 outs.
