The RoKit 6 G2 from KRK is a two-way active nearfield monitor ideal for use in project or small professional studios. The monitor features a 6" glass aramid composite cone woofer that maximizes performance while minimizing distortion. The 1" neodymium soft dome tweeter provides a more natural sound than metal-domed tweeters, providing more natural mixes with less ear fatigue.
The bi-amplified design provides 68W of total power to the speaker elements. The wood cabinet features a front-firing bass port and a radically curved front baffle for minimal diffraction and a wide sweet spot. The recessed high frequency waveguide focuses the sound away from the cabinet and provides optimal pattern control.
The rear of the cabinet features XLR, TRS, and RCA inputs, allowing you to connect the monitor to virtually any sound system. An input gain control lets you precisely set the monitor to work with your other audio components, while an HF level control helps you match the speaker to your environment. The monitor is shielded for safe use near video monitors and computers.
Note! Not recommended for direct connection to computers, portable MP3 player devices or smart phones.

Comments about KRK RoKit 6 G2 68W 6" Two-Way Active Nearfield Monitor:
The RoKit 6 monitors perform as advertised which is extremely well. I was immediately delighted by the crisp, clear stereo image. Like having headphones with nothing on your head. Even though my set-up is small and I anticipated these would provide more than enough sound pressure level, I would at times like them to deliver more power than they have. I previously was working with a very old set of Samson A6's that are powered at 100 watts and they had a lot more punch than these. But for most of the time, the KRK's are fantastic. They present a very flat overall acoustical profile which makes them exactly what they're supposed to be: reference monitors. So those who want more low-end punch which is actually not ideal for critical mixing, you may want to consider a small subwoofer as an addition.

Called Pro Audio line at B&H to ask about options for my music major son who needs to listen to many types of music very analytically. His critical listening need includes a limited budget and limited space at school. Also program source is either his laptop or small (decent) CD player. The Rokit 6's are great. Accuracy, dynamics, internal Biamping and front port all contribute to satisfying his listening and space criteria. All this at a affordable price. Great advice B&H. Also great service. Ordered on Thursday delivered on Friday.... WOW! Thanks B&H!

Comments about KRK RoKit 6 G2 68W 6" Two-Way Active Nearfield Monitor:
Just completed upgrading my in-home project studio which included new studio monitors. The RoKit 6 G2 suited my needs perfectly accourding to specs and price... however the proof of this pudding is operation and response in the the real world and these monitors did not let me down. Specs on paper became reality. I am more than satisfied with Rokit AND B&H

These were recommended to me when I purchased my Kawai MP6. They sound amazing. In fact, my neighbor downstairs told me he would "kill me" if I did not turn them down. (He heard them through the concrete floors.) I had a geekout moment when I first turned them on...the logo on the front lights up. Love!

I'm using a pair of these in a small 16x19' home studio for mixing our bluegrass band. I've only had them about a week, but they definately kick the woofers out of the old (vintage 2002?) monitor one's. My frined is bringing his Wharf 8.2's down sometime to compare, but I think these will work real nice for what we're doing. Ignorance may be bliss at this point.

Comments about KRK RoKit 6 G2 68W 6" Two-Way Active Nearfield Monitor:
I am running these monitors through my mbox pro using Logic, Pro Tools, Ableton and Reason as DAW's. Overall they have been spectacular using them for sound design as well as mixing. For sound design they are great when i have to pin point particular sonic irregularities that are very minute. While mixing its a little challenging to avoid a swampy type of mix but with the right time, it can molded into a smooth and clear mix. I'm merely saying that it was swampy at first since i wasn't use to the construction of this particular monitor.. The mid's & highs are well described and the bass has a round warmth with minimal bleed. The whole spectrum is well represented with these monitors but i do wish they was a tad more bass when i mixed. I have to say though, they are fantastic for what i use them for and am going to hold on to these for a long time!

I use this product in a home studio setting, I shopped around for various monitors before buying these and let me tell you, for the price and the quality, KRK 6's are a must. They deliver impeccable true sound that will blow you away. Make sure you have a large enough room otherwise feedback and bass problems will ensue, bit if you measure the sweet spot out and decide whether it is right for you, youll be extremely happy with the product.

Comments about KRK RoKit 6 G2 68W 6" Two-Way Active Nearfield Monitor:
I'm currently using this monitor setup as a pair connected to a computer. They have excellent sound quality with balanced and controlled bass, and plenty of connection options. I found that they are very sensitive to static, so quality components are needed all along the line if you want clear sound. The built in amps make them very heavy, so a strong desk or wall mount is needed.

Comments about KRK RoKit 6 G2 68W 6" Two-Way Active Nearfield Monitor:
I replaced my old Event 20/20P monitors with these guys. I heard them in action at another studio and fell in love. I opted for the additional subwoofer to really help compliment the low end, but you could get away without the sub since these speakers have remarkable bass response for their size. I also opted to get the sound isolation pads which help aim the speakers at my ear level and keep the console from introducing any errant sounds. Overall, a great buy. Can't wait to mix the next piece of music!
