I never understood why tablets were so expensive. After seeing Vistablet demo'd at a trade show, I came back to NY and was very happy to see at B&H. I almost didnt buy this because the floor reps were not very famuilar with it, but at [$] for a 12" I took the chance. I am very happy I did, 2 months into using this, I honestly can say I think some of my photography associates are envious of what I paid for this tablet that works great with Photoshop. So far so good and I would recommend.

I bought this tablet because I do a lot of pencil drawings, then scan them and clean up the digital versions. Using the mouse was just not doing it for me, I needed more sensitivity.
I thought I'd give this reasonably priced tablet a try. I tried this tablet in Photoshop 6, and MSPaint. It took me less than 24 hrs from the time I received it to request an RMA.
The cursor is all over the place, and the pauses are unacceptable (3,4,5 second pauses).
This could be a good product if they'd do something about the jitters and pauses. It was very easy to install. I had it up and drawing in less than 15 minutes.
I also use a Summa digitizer, and it's ROCK SOLID.

use it for graphic design and photo retouching, results are amazing, clearly shows an improvement in work time and quality. I don't know how to compare it to other brands but I'm pretty happy with this one, especially at the price.

Comments about VisTablet 12" (10 x 6.25" Active Area) Graphics Pen Tablet:
Installation took place without a hitch, it works exactly as advertised, and you can customize it to have it open the programs that you use most at a touch of the pen. We use it primarily for creating educational materials in photoshop, and it works very well.
It would be nice if it came with a stand, so that it could be stored upright on a desk when not in use.

Comments about VisTablet 12" (10 x 6.25" Active Area) Graphics Pen Tablet:
Sometimes it works as advertised, but frequently, particularly when working with FCP it seems to grab at the slightest pressure and then when I want to say click and drag, I can't get it to respond. It's really stressful, because if you slide it across the screen to another pane, you never know what edits it performed along the way. Adding keyframes, resizing windows, jumping to the Finder, etc... It's also fairly jumpy. Finally, their website is really poor especially when it comes to finding drivers (that work with legacy OS's) and getting tech support.

Comments about VisTablet 12" (10 x 6.25" Active Area) Graphics Pen Tablet:
The tablet looks pretty good, but the pen feels cheap and the performance is not good at all. You have to apply way too much pressure on the pad to move your cursor and the cursor skips frequently which doesn't give you much control.

After years of using a mouse as an illustrator I thought I'd give a tablet a try. Even after tweeking the settings of the pen and it continues to jump and skip. Not like a mouse at all and unfortuately almost impossible to use.

Bought this tablet for my 14 years old daughter. Plugged in easily, didn't even need to read a manual to get it to work. It took about an hour for the girl to catch up with the new gadget, and now she spends hours drawing her comics, enjoys every moment with it. As for the cons, it looks like we are running out of spare tips. After all, this is a really good deal.

Actually I've never had a tablet before I bought this Vistablet. Amazingly, it is very easy to use than mouse. I'd like to give a present to my friend.
BUT, I don't know why this pen is broken just after using for a month. I tried to fix it, but I couldn't. Except this, this gorgeous tablet is good to graphic users.

I use the product to edit images. The ease of selecting items and jumping from program to program with the quick links make editing and saving a sinch. It would be nice if it was self powered instead of a battery, I am waiting to see how long it takes for the battery to explode.

Comments about VisTablet 12" (10 x 6.25" Active Area) Graphics Pen Tablet:
It simply does what it should do. It is a decent tablet with press sensitive pen. It's made of good plastic, and it also very thin and light. Also it has great software which configures side shortcuts for quick tool chooser. I had no problems with installation. However, the pen sensitive is quite low, so you have to put some pressure on it when you draw. The pen doesn't look very solid, but I think that's OK if you won't step on it.
