The Pelican iM2975 Storm Trak Case without Foam (Black) is an injection-molded case made of HPX high performance resin, that is virtually unbreakable, dent-resistant and shatter-resistant. It is tough, rugged, lightweight, airtight and watertight. It has hinges with integrated feet that hold fast under impact, and create a flat surface for upright stability. It is carried by three double-layered, soft-grip, solid-core handles, lightweight retractable, telescoping handle and rugged in-line wheels.

Comments about Pelican iM2975 Storm Trak Case without Foam (Black):
Yes, it's bulky and heavy. And the only reason I didn't click "well padded" was because I bought a version without foam.
We needed to ship a $2,100 monitor from Baltimore to Colombia, with a stop-over in Miami. If the monitor was damaged in any way, it was going to cost us another $600 to set up a flight to ship it again. But the case was able to be locked up with a TSA lock, rolled perfectly through luggage claims, and got the monitor where it needed to be in perfect condition. If you're invested in high-priced equipment, it makes sense to also invest in protecting that equipment.

Comments about Pelican iM2975 Storm Trak Case without Foam (Black):
I am a field service tech. That means I am on the road or in the air three out of four weeks a month. I carry as part of my normal kit, about 65 pounds of test equipment and tools. This equipment has to fit into one, roll around box. I had a brandX, two in fact. They could not hold up to the abuse that is travel. That's why I chose a Pelican Storm Trak Case. Tough, reliable, stable on the go on rough uneven ground and military tried and approved. The iM2975 is not heavy, but it is not the lightest. It is exceptionally well built and seals very well. I recommend it for any camera gear, test equipment, tools or anything needing extra protection. I would further recommend the internal padding for sensitive gear. When the going gets tough, get a Pelican!

Comments about Pelican iM2975 Storm Trak Case without Foam (Black):
When I was in the market for a pelican case, I wanted to stick with Amazon because of the branding and with the years of great experience I have had with Amazon. But for my IM2975, the Shipping was not cheap and I found an Unknown B&H via Google and gave them a chance & I am so glad that I did because the was the best online shopping experience that I have ever had, not to mention the great value with the huge discount and the FREE shipping, which came on time!I love my IM2975 case that I keep all of my Dewalt Cordless power tools secured. When I am ready for my next Pelican Case, the 1650 or the 0550 for Camping, I am coming right back to B&H and would recommend this purchase over any other online merchant, hands down. Having this case on wheels was a total life saver due to the weight of the tools!

Good product. I needed something just a little larger than a Pelican 1650. This fits the bill.
