Comments about Interfit Flexi-Lite 5-in-1 Panel Kit - Large:

We were not looking to spend too much on a skrim, because we didn't even know if we would use it. We were thinking it was going to be a hassle come the wedding day. It ended up being VERY easy to use. I am sure the material is not as high quality aas more expensive ones, but it works great for us!

Comments about Interfit Flexi-Lite 5-in-1 Panel Kit - Large:

I bought this Panel Kit to provide black backgrounds for product photography, and still life. I also wanted to use it for bouncing light or as a large scrim. In the bag, it is about 1.5 meters long (60"), a bit cumbersome for your car. If you have a ski cut out in the back seat of your car, you can feed it through the trunk in a sedan. The Silver/White sheet is mounted on the frame when it comes. Be careful when you open it up, it seems that during the production the chemicals aren't completely dry on the silver side and the material sticks to itself like Seran Wrap; pull open slowly. Despite my caution, there was about a 1 inch by 1/2 inch bald spot where the white side showed through the silver. Not enough of a worry for me to send it back though. The gold&silver sheet is very similar to that of the Lastolite TriGrip. The silver sheet has kind of a marbled look to it from the wrinkles it gets when packed up. If you use the Silver side as a background for portrait, and you are not shooting a fast prime wide open, you might see the wrinkles. The black side of the gold/silver sheet has a sheen to it; looks like I will be buying black velvet anyway.I haven't tried the translucent sheet but I suspect it is fine. So that's three sheets total: 1 with a Silver Side and a White Side, 1 with a Black Side and a Gold/Silver wave patern, and then 1 transparent difusion sheet. All of the sheets are single stitched and fited with some high quality Velcro. Although they are single stitched, there is added backing material at the seams to make them more durable. I will wait to see if I need to send them off to a seemstress for extra threads. The aluminum frame consists of multiple peices which are permanently hinged, giving you the ability to leave a sheet on it for quick setup. You can't take the frame apart into smaller pieces either, but it does fold down to fit into the cary bag. Two of the hinges are aluminum, while the rest look like ABS plastic; not sure how long that will last outdoors. If one wanted, they could go to [@] and pick up PVC plumbing pipe and very easily make their own frames to the same size as the aluminum one. If you didn't glue all of the PVC pieces together, you could take it apart afterwards; the tightly stretched sheets and their excellent velcro would be enough to hold the PVC frames together. You could then have three panels for very little money.

Comments about Interfit Flexi-Lite 5-in-1 Panel Kit - Large:

Right now I'm filming documentary style interviews and tutorial videos. Started out as an amateur and now do it professionally. I decided to purchase this large reflector because I've simply grown into needing one. I love the versatility of this one - the different colors and translucent white that it comes with are already a great addition to my collection of gear. I highly recommend ordering the stand and a sandbag for it too though - I forgot to do this and had to prop it against something at a recent shoot - which fortunately for that instance worked out fine, but won't work for every situation. The carry case made it easy to pack away and travel with.
