The Mackie ProFX 8-Channel Sound Reinforcement Mixer is a cost effective solution for small venues, small bands, rehearsals and project studios. The mixer features a Mac and Windows compatible USB port for recording performances or playing mp3s during sets. A total of 8-channels are comprised of 2 mono line and 3 stereo channels. There are 4 XLR microphone inputs with phantom power and an instrument input on channel 1.
The Running Man 32-bit effects processor delivers "gig ready" usable effects presets that include plate reverb, room reverb presets, chorus settings and delays.
A 3-band EQ section is featured on all input channels and a 7-band graphic EQ section provides additional frequency contouring on output. The ProFX 8 delivers the quality and features suitable for budget conscious musicians and sound reinforcement applications.

We are a video production house and we're using this for VO work. Mixer is just what we need, not too intricate and produces great EQ. Have had the product for a week and no downsides so far

Comments about Mackie ProFX 8 8-Channel Desktop Sound Reinforcement Mixer with USB:
The Mackie ProFX 8 is the second mixer that I have had. Set up was easy and the controls work extremly well. I like two of the features the best. The sliders make using the fx easy and the mute button is something I never had before. I do a radio show at Orion Talk Radio and when I want to play a sound clip I just push the mute and leave all of my settings where they are. This makes my life very easy now. This is a very solid unit and I would recommend it to anyone.

Comments about Mackie ProFX 8 8-Channel Desktop Sound Reinforcement Mixer with USB:
I have several of these, and am very happy with them. I really like having the basic graphic EQ for the small setups in meeting rooms where they can't justify the cost of going with a more extensive system.

Comments about Mackie ProFX 8 8-Channel Desktop Sound Reinforcement Mixer with USB:
Good quality, low signal to noise ratio. It is easy to use. The USB gives stereo out and not full board separation. The full board is analog. This works perfectly for me for online presentations. Simple, clean, good components and delivered on time. Once again, B&H!

I used the mixer to set sound for my videography. I found that the mixer is easy to set up and produces a good quality sound. The only problem that I had is how easy it is to accidently press the Break (all channell mute) button.

I was looking to upgrade my audio for my video production company. The Mackie name says it all. Still built like a tank for mobile production. I can use this for recording and a sound system at the venue. The stereo main fully grounded XLR outputs are perfect to my Sony HDR-FX1HD camdorders. If we film a band we can add the whole band to the mixer. Great for Rock n roll video's

I purchased the Mackie 12" cabinets to go with this mixer for a community center. We wanted portability, quality sound and a flexible product. This little mixer exceeded our expectations. Very good sound at a economy price.

I had a older 16 channel Mackie mixer and this little 8 channel is every bit as good. AND it has a USB connection. Very happy with my decision to stick with B+H and Mackie.

Comments about Mackie ProFX 8 8-Channel Desktop Sound Reinforcement Mixer with USB:
This is really an excellent mixer. Very quite and the effects are top notch. The only thing I would have done differantly would be to get the Pro FX12. For the extra 3 inches in width, that's no big deal and you have a little more versatility.

The mixer is excellent, everything works fine, i use it to recording bass guitar and it work well to me. The problem is the software that came with the mixer is not good at all, and the site they send to do the download doesn't work. You need to download a demo and do a registration to keep running the same demo. Buy it because of the mixer, and forget the software. You will need to buy a recording software if want to use for recording.[...]

SO FAR I'VE USED THIS PRODUCT TO DIGITIZE MY VINAL COLLECTION. THE USB PORT WORKS PERFECTLY IN MY SYSTEM AND THE QUIET PREAMPS DON'T COLOR THE SIGNAL. THE WHOLE THING WORKS LIKE A CHARM. I CAN'T SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT IT.
