Comments about Noga DG6145CA Cinematic Arm with 1/4" 20 and 3/8" 16 Mounts:
This is a much stronger arm than my other cheaper arm. It holds a camera light, external monitor, or shotgun blimp with ease. With my other arm I'm always afraid of over-tightening it and breaking it. With this arm I tighten it A LOT and so far no failures. I also like that the tightening lever pops out and ratchets so it's never stuck in an inconvenient position. In fact, after tightening the arm, I usually adjust the lever so that it's upright and then I rest my headphones on it between shots. Very convenient.

Want to thank the reviewers below that spent their down time reviewing this fine product. This arm works perfectly with my ikanVX7i and the Manfrotto 504 HD head. Locks both ends in place with a turn of the lever. Just the right length too. I feel secure and relaxed shooting video knowing that this tool is strong + well made holding my precious monitor. Thanks Noga and BH.

Comments about Noga DG6145CA Cinematic Arm with 1/4" 20 and 3/8" 16 Mounts:
I'm pretty happy with this Noga arm so far. I'm using it on a camera bracket to hold a flash and diffuser for macro. Locks solid and readjusts easily. Works better than the cheaper variable friction arm I had on before (I'll find other uses for that).

Comments about Noga DG6145CA Cinematic Arm with 1/4" 20 and 3/8" 16 Mounts:
The arm is worth the cost. Wasn't sure I wanted to pay this much for an articulating arm but locking the thing down is a breeze without having to use too much force. Rock solid. Get it...you won't regret it.

Disclaimer---I take a lot of time when deciding to purchase items. I rarely go with the flock. I've started putting together my DSLR studio rig and I want to build something that I could present to colleagues and get the same level of confidence that I get when using quality, functional gear.I first looked at setups I saw from others. Mostly Zacuto, Red Rock and Cinevate. I wasn't very impressed, especially considering the fact that some of these companies charge cinema prices for less than stellar gear.Sometimes you DON'T get what you paid for.Secondly, being a Steadicam Operator, I understand the necessity for owning hardcore, reliable equipment. The arms I have experienced range from Zacuto's to Red Rock's to Noga's.When I first started in the business, I saw nothing but Noga arms. For some reason, people have made Zacuto and RR arms ubiquitous in the DSLR world. I guess that's what the salespersons recommend since you're usually gonna outfit yourself with whatever you know most about.I'm also a bit of a contrarian. I like to see where peoples' minds are and then consider the opposite direction.Instead of going to school, I bought a Steadicam.I've always known about the quality and the integrity under regular usage of Noga arms. Then I saw the price difference between Noga and RR. So I bought the RR first...Sometimes, you DO get what you paid for.I paid for crud. Before I could even walk out to a job, the RR arm failed. It didn't hold the weight of a fairly large, yet feasibly supportable monitor. Then when I tried to get it to hold tightly, *snap*, the arm breaks.Went back to B&H and traded it in for the Noga. Best uptick of money I spent.WORTH THE EXTRA $60!!!

Excellent quality arm with great performance. Simple to use and rock steady. Single lever to lock all articulating joints. I have the heavier arm, but this is great for mounting a monitor when shooting with a shoulder mount.

Comments about Noga DG6145CA Cinematic Arm with 1/4" 20 and 3/8" 16 Mounts:
I wanted an articulating arm for mounting a 7" monitor to our cameras. I have seen this same product at work on feature films, television shows and corporate productions and everyone I spoke to had no problems at all with this unit.
We have had this product about a month now, and it performs very well. Well made and seems very tough.
Bottom line - I would purchase this item again.
