Comments about Pearstone Onyx 60 Lens Case:

I bought this case for use with a Nikon 70-300 VR with the lens hood reversed on the lens. It seems to fit perfectly. The padding is not quite as thick as the case that came with another lens of similar size that I have but it is also not nearly as heavy either. So I can live with the compromise.Overall I am happy.

          Love this lens case

Comments about Pearstone Onyx 60 Lens Case:

I love the Pearstone Onyx 60 lens case. It holds my Canon 75-300 f/4-5.6 III lens. It is sturdy and opens easily. I have it attached to the side of my Lowepro Toploader AW 70 camera case. I attached the belt loop of the Pearstone to the SlipLock loop on the Lowepro. There is a strap under this that I wrapped around the bottom of the Pearstone for extra security. I considered several other brands if cases. This meets my needs the best and is a great price. I'm happy with my purchase.

I have put my favorite macro lens in the case and attached it to my belt for long mountain hikes. It gives me the flexibility I need to carry an extra lens while at the same time not being heavy or getting in the way.

so far I've purchased seven of these cases, all the lenses fit perfect, I wrap each lens in a 16x16 micro-cloth then in the bag, the micro-cloth does two things for me I can clean the lens with them plus the give me a one inch thick protection from bumps and crashes, the bags are great, they have a webbing in the top cover for lens cleaning wipes, the have Velcro belts loops and lanyard loops, like I said their perfect....

Comments about Pearstone Onyx 60 Lens Case:

Okay, I'm a wedding photographer - www.pabstphoto.com - sorry for the plug, but it's important for the reader to know I'm a professional. So, with that, I don't like to carry two cameras, but I like to have multiple lenses. I wear this on my belt, so I can throw a lens in there to switch quickly throughout the day. Sometimes, I put the 50mm 1.4 in there, it fits just fine with hood on - even deeply. I also, toss the 85mm with hood in there, it also fits no problem. I have thrown the 17-40mm in there - the hood peeks out of the top, same with the 24-105mm, but it is deep enough that even though I NEVER zip this thing up, I'm not worried about a lens tumbling out. I've also thrown the 100mm f/2 in this case. Really, the only lens I don't care in this case from time to time is the 70-200mm II f/2.8. I really like this case and it serves me well. Inexpensive and less back pain than carrying two full frame cameras all day. Another note, I don't even put on rear lens caps when using this; I just drop the lenses in rear down.

I have a backpack camera bag, and when I'm out hiking it can often be a precarious (to my lenses) proposition to change lenses. I purchased 3 Pearstone cases to facilitate ease of access and safer switching while hiking. I affix the lense cases with their velcro straps to the chest strap on my backpack, and, voila! Safe and convenient lense storage and switching.

Well made, easy to remove/move. No complaints at all.

Whenever I add a lens to my collection, I make sure to:
                              1) protect it with a UV filter, and,
                              2) store it in a protective case.

The Onyx cases by Pearstone are among the best soft, padded cases I've come across and I have several sizes. In addition to providing security, they can be portable and they include a top, interior pocket for filters and similar accessories.

A good value in their own right, and a good way to preserve the value of your lens investment.

Comments about Pearstone Onyx 60 Lens Case:

Before buying this lens case, I checked the measures of the Canon Macro 100 mm lens (2.8L IS USM). I wasnt sure if it would have enough space.

But it fits perfect, even when the ET-73 Lens Hood is attached.

                                        Great lens case

I have several of these now and am quite pleased. The Onyx 60 works great for my 28-300mm Nikkor (with lens hood mounted backwards). As with all of these Onyx cases, the Velcro attachment strap on the back is smaller-less-wide than that of my Tamrac lens cases, is held only by Velcro and has no metal snap. The quality of the case is great.

I have a variety of these cases from other vendors that attach to their products (may not fit quite as well in some vendors products, but OK unless you are scaling Half Dome or something like that). These will work also, but I use them for storage in big camera bags or in storage locations. Good quality.

I have a couple of Pearstone cases for different lenses. I use them for long-term and travel storage. The collar has to be removed from the lens but the lens, hood and collar all can be stored together inside in a tight fit. There's a mesh pocket inside the case lid for a microfiber cloth.
