The Westcott Window Light Plus Kit is based on the Spiderlite TD5 light fixture, which accepts fluorescent (5000° K) or tungsten (3200° K) bulbs. Although this kit is rated at 440 total fluorescent watts, it puts out the equivalent of 1800 watts tungsten, according to Westcott.

Three separate controls allow running of multiple combinations of bulbs together with no color shift. Each fixture in this two light kit has all-metal construction with built-in points for direct attachment of a softbox -- no adapter ring is necessary.

This Medium Plus Two Light Kit includes two 24 x 32" silver interior softboxes, tilt brackets, eight 50 watt and two 20 watt screw-in fluorescent bulbs, two 10' heavy duty light stands, and a location case for storage and transport.

Comments about Westcott Window Two Light Kit Plus 1800 (120VAC):

I have to say first of all that the lighting kit was received with two broken 50W bulbs. Westcott was very accommodating however and they did send me replacements.
That little disclosure out of the way, I have been extremely happy with this lighting kit. It's a fantastic WYSIWYG setup and has proved perfect for our small studio. Definitely high quality components and worth the expense over cheaper alternatives. Highly recommended.
