I have used this Jumpstart Training Guide as a supplement to the manual that came with my camera. The material is very useful in learning more about the many and varied features of the camera. The format is very helpful to me and is providing me with a much greater understanding of the use of my camera to capture the kinds of photos it is capable of and that I am trying to get.

He talks to fast. Skips over important things. Not enough on setting the camera for different situations. Too much time was spent on the menue.

I purchased the Nikon D90. The sales rep suggested it and to me it was worth the money. It went through every control, menu on the camera, showed examples of the impacts on pictures. In the two hours of watching it, I had a good grasp of the features of the camera. I know it would have taken a lot longer going through the book.

This is a very good set of training DVDs. Unfortunately, it suffers from the same poor scripting that all the JumpStart training series suffers from: Poor scripting. Stumbling over information in sentences, and poor sequencing of information can lead to some problems and mistakes.
The DVD has us turning on the camera and formating cards before we have learned to charge and insert the battery, for instance........
