The Sekonic Exposure Profile Target II provides the photographer with an easy, reliable and fast way to test your camera's sensor. Sensors, being as touchy as they are, can be subject to a variety of influences when shooting. This target gives you the chance to find out exactly where your sensor falls on the exposure scale.
By making three basic exposures (one centered, one at +3 and one at -3), you can easily find the right exposure for any camera lens combination.
Note! Compatible with Data Transfer Software as well as the 758DR and 758C meters

I tried to use the original Sekonic Target to calibrate my L-758DR meter. What an ordeal! I gave up. Too many exposures to take, too much to do. It was a good idea gone wrong!
With Version 2 of the software (free download) and Target II it took me about 15 minutes to calibrate one body for both ambient and flash, over two ISOs. Much much better!
I only wish Sekonic had gotten it right the first time, or had offered those of us who bought Target I an upgrade path instead of buying a whole new target.

If you get Sekonic L 758DR and you want to profile your camera Dynamic Range, you are looking to spend 160$ for a piece of paper that is NOT durable. Make sure NO hand oil print, No humidity and NO bending, I'm really disappointed by the quality of it compare to X-Rite Color Checker Passport and its price 130$.
I live in Canada and cost for returning this is not worth it , I feel betrayed by Seckonic, target card should be included in L 785DR package not something you buy separately.

must have for best results in sekonic to camera profiling. I might have tried first with x rite color profiler if I'd known but they say this provides best results. It does make the process simple and quick.

It is costly but it appears necessary to get the most out of the 758DR meter. It is extremely well made.

Comments about Sekonic Exposure Profile Target II:
A reasonably well constructed profile target that has 25 exposure patches in 1/6 f/stop increments which will enable one to easily create a matching camera profile to install into the Sekonic L-758DR light meter. If you have this meter it is worth the expense to obtain this target and along with the Sekonic software a profile can be created for your particular camera and lens combination. One side of the card is fully 18% gray and can be used to set a custom white balance in your camera before taking the three exposure images for creating the profile. I would have hoped that the card would have been a little more robust in nature, however it is more than adequate to handle the task it was designed for. There are instructions with the target indicating you should not touch the exposure panels with your bare hands, get dirt or debris on it or leave it exposed to bright light for extremely long periods of time.
This target does what it is supposed to do and when the instructions are followed a very accurate camera/lens profile can be created in just a few minutes with the ability to tweak it a bit in the software if one desires to do so.

Comments about Sekonic Exposure Profile Target II:
This probably should be included with the meter (even if the cost has to be more). It seems expensive for what it is but I do know that it works really great! What it does (with software that comes with the Sekonic L-758DR meter) is that it provides a standard that you take a few shots of to build a profile for a particular camera and lens combination. The meter then displays the dynamic range of your camera and lens so you can tell instantly if a scene has too much dynamic range in exposure to be captured in a single photo. You can then use the meter to determine the number of shots needed to achieve the range needed if using an HDR software. I'm finding that I can actually take fewer shots in order to get the full range of exposure. You can build as many profiles as you want to with the software on your computer and can load up to 3 different profiles on the L-758 at a time. I typically use about 3 different lenses for most landscape shots so I have profiled my camera and those 3 lenses. That way I'm covered with my meter whichever lens I use. The instruction manual isn't very good but there are a lot of videos that show the use of the meter (there was no instruction manual with this product). I have found videos that Joe Brady has done to be very helpful! (Both on Sekonic website and on Youtube).

Comments about Sekonic Exposure Profile Target II:
The profile is pricey but when included with the analysis software, it's well worth the money. You can establish it as your primary reference and then compare other gray sources like WhizBal to it an set any exposure compensation needed. I was able to calibrate several cameras and save their profiles in the meter itself. Correct exposure is then so close to Photoshop CS5 that virtually any basic adjustments are unnecessary. You can still make style changes for high and low key lighting but you're making it from a standard gray scale. Panel chips 24 and 25 were reversed on my profile but B&H exchanged it without an issue and paid for the shipping.

Comments about Sekonic Exposure Profile Target II:
The exposure profile target II is a must for anyone using a Sekonic 758 light meter. It helps create a very accurate profile for your camera system which can be entered into your meter for improved exposure. This is particularly helpful for me because while I am a huge fan of digital photography, I do not care for the computer editing side of it. Getting the exposure right the first time saves me time and adds to my overall enjoyment of digital photography. I only give it 4 stars due to its high cost.

Comments about Sekonic Exposure Profile Target II:
The target enables you to calibrate the Sekonic 758D[R] meter for specific cameras and lenses by making only three exposures (as metered, three stops over, and three stops under). The end result is that the meter readings will accurately reflect how the camera actually responds, and the EV or f-stop scale on the meter will show the actual range of the camera. The software allows tweaking what you consider to be appropriate highlights and shadows, and you can add the three-exposure calibrations for several ISO settings.
For most people it is probably good enough to do a few tests with a grey card and then adjust the meter's ISO or correction factor. (200 in the camera may correspond to 120 in the meter, for example.) And it does not take very long to learn what kind of range your camera has. (2.5 stops over the midtone and 3 stops under the midtone, for example.) But if you want this information to be "programmed into" your Sekonic, using their targets is the most practical approach. Version II of the target significantly reduces the number of exposures necessary to do the job.

This is a great product and it works perfect but it has one major flaw. It's to darn expensive. That said it's not a perfect 5 star but close. I would still 2 thumbs up and recommend it to all.

For calibration of my Nikon D3 SLRs with the 758 meter. Tried with small available targets, but was not large enough to allow the software with the unit to work properly.
Easy to use. Setup similar to any target calibration - controlled light.
The unit is a bit pricey when you have already made the investment in the meter, but the results are work it.
Comments about Sekonic Exposure Profile Target II:
Required for creating camera profiles for the L-758DR. Should be included with the meter.
