The OP/TECH USA Lens Mount Cap is designed with an O-ring seal which creates a positive contact with the full perimeter of a Canon EF and EF-S lens mount area to lock out dust and moisture. It also offers a tighter friction fit over traditional caps that come with the lens so that it provides better protection to the lens mount area. This ensures that the lens mount cap is securely held in place while in storage or transit.
This item is made in the USA.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Lens Mount Cap for Canon EF and EF-S Lenses:
I use this to label, stablised as well as to protect against dust and moisture. For those lenses that have rubber gasket i.e weather sealed, it acts as one even when its kept in the bag. Frequent flyer will know that the moisture will usually form in between flights.
I also printed some labels and stick to the flat surface which is very handy and useful in a dark coloured bag with primes that have similar sizes.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Lens Mount Cap for Canon EF and EF-S Lenses:
These caps are very nice, but are a pain to use in the field. Unlike Canon caps, which can be mounted and unmounted in any orientation, the OpTech caps _have_ to have the tab on the edge of the cap aligned with the dot on the lens. Otherwise they are very hard to mount and almost impossible to remove. In the dark, or when you're in a hurry, it's surprisingly hard to put the caps on correctly.
Additionally, the tab on the edge of the cap really does a number on the weathersealing gasket on the rear of my 100L--I wound up having to trim the tab with a utility knife.
In short, this is a $10 cap that isn't as convenient as the Canon cap that came with your lens, and while it does have a rubber gasket on it, the cap itself may wind up damaging the weatherproofing gasket on your Canon L lenses.
And lest you think I got a defective OpTech cap--I didn't. I bought two, from different retailers, and they're both the same.
As the other reviewer states, these caps will fit snugly onto poorly made Canon adapters (I shoot with OM and K mount glass, in addition to native EF lenses), which is the only reason to buy these caps.

Comments about OP/TECH USA Lens Mount Cap for Canon EF and EF-S Lenses:
Fits snugly, especially on EOS to Nikon adapters which often do not accept standard Canon EOS lens mount caps snugly. Seals against mist, moisture, and dust. Well constructed with o-ring seal.
