The Canon CanoScan 5600F Flatbed Scanner utilizes high-luminance white LED lamps so it is ready to scan immediately, with no warm-up time needed. It delivers scans with color resolution of 4800 x 9600dpi. The built-in auto retouching technology helps correct for dust and scratches on originals, revives faded images, brightens faces and reduces graininess. Seven easy buttons automate the scanning process, so it's simple to scan copy and create e-mails and multi-page PDFs. Furthermore, to save time, you can batch-scan up to six 35mm negative frames or four 35mm slides.

• Multi-image Scanning: To save time, simultaneously scan up to 6 frames of 35mm film (negatives or positives)

• Fast Data Transfer: The High Speed USB 2.0 interface provides fast scanning speeds with previews as quick as two seconds and enables the fastest possible image transfers

• Edit and Organize your Images: The included software lets you enhance photos, archive them and place your favorite photos in slide shows and e-mails

• One-touch Scanning: Large function buttons automate the scanning process - simply press the button on the front panel of the scanner that corresponds to the type of file you wish to scan to and it's done in seconds

• Smart Scanning: The Auto Scan feature automatically detects the type of original you're scanning (photo, business card, personal notebook or form), and automatically scans, processes and saves the image in the appropriate format

• A Generation Green Product: Generation Green, Canon's environmental initiative is an environmentally-friendly approach that Canon is taking to design many of its current and future products and solutions. The CanoScan 5600F is part of Generation Green through low power consumption, and the energy efficient Quick Start feature that makes it Energy Star qualified. Plus it is RoHS Compliant - a directive from the European Union that restricts the use of hazardous materials found in electronic products. Canon also participates in a Hardware Recycling Program to ensure appropriate recycling of electronics products and the Canon Refurbishing Program so Canon has full control over recovery and salvage for Canon U.S.A. products
