Comments about Zacuto Z-ZHH Zonitor Lightweight Kit:

This is well-built, sturdy, and NOT LIGHTWEIGHT! It's quite heavy, compared with a normal Israeli arm.

While it is quite useful if you are looking to quick-release your accessories, it otherwise costs far more than other comparable solutions. The Z-mount is a good idea, except that the place where the monitor makes contact is totally smooth aluminum and the fastening screw slides in a channel, which means that even with the nifty little feet deployed, your monitor is still liable to slip away and swing, exactly what this plate was designed to prevent.

Comments about Zacuto Z-ZHH Zonitor Lightweight Kit:

This is my third monitor arm, and by far the best. It's built like a tank but drives like a Porsche. The extra length of this arm comes in extremely handy when positioning monitor or evf (I use with both). The two prongs on the monitor mount work best with monitors that have 90-degree edges - my DP6 is beveled, so less than ideal, but the screw mount holds it plenty strong without the prongs. The twist action is quick, rock-solid, and smooth.

Comments about Zacuto Z-ZHH Zonitor Lightweight Kit:

When I purchased my Marshall 5" HDMI monitor I got a cheaper arm, and while it works, the Zonitor arm is far and away more sturdy, solid and durable. Adjusting it is easy and quick and it solidly locks into place. The arm is plenty long enough to adjust the monitor to a comfortable viewing position. Like all Zacuto products it is very well made. I suspect the arm will last for many generations of monitors as I upgrade.

            Not ideal for heavy monitors

Comments about Zacuto Z-ZHH Zonitor Lightweight Kit:

Okay, let me start by saying the build quality is top notch. Two of the three parts stand out here for me.

                1. The z-mount: not a big fan of this, I found it slid even though it was on extremely tight
                2. Zamerican arm: Great build quality, tightens down tight, I like the arm
                3. zicromount: very very good. The only thing is that you need a flathead screwdriver in order to attach or remove it since the screw is in a narrow slot. it. If I needed to take it off for some reason on set and there wasn't a screwdriver around you're stuck.

Bought this to use with a 7" Marshall Monitor. I locked the arm down pretty tight on a rail system and the z-mount that attaches to the rails rotated a few times due to the torque of the weight of the monitor. Luckily it was only a few inches and not all the way down or else my monitor would have crashed into another part of the rig. Adjusted in several different positions and no success. The other parts (zicromount, zamerican) performed perfectly, no sliding. Pretty disappointed since the other 2 parts worked so well.

I returned this for the Lightweight Q-Mount kit which is essentially the same kit but swaps out the z-mount for the q-mount, which mounts onto both rails instead of just one. This should most likely solve the issue I mentioned above.

Comments about Zacuto Z-ZHH Zonitor Lightweight Kit:

I use the Zonitor arm to mount a Marshall 7" HDMI monitor on my cinema rig. The Zonitor has a nice heavy feel--not too heavy to where it would throw off the balance of the rig, but a nice, solid, well crafted heft. The joints and pivots are all extremely smooth, and lock solidly in place. Finally--and this may be the best feature--the actual mounting piece attaches and removes easily, and has two adjustable "teeth" which prevent the monitor from turning (a problem I've had with other monitor mounts).
