This is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)lamp and so is a perfect replacement.
Replacement is easy. You only need a cross head screwdriver. These lamps get VERY hot so let the projector cool down for at least an hour.
Turn the projector over and place on a soft surface (a hand towel or similar) so as not to scratch the case. There is one small cross-head screw visible along one edge of the lamp house door. Remove this screw and lift up the door along that edge and it will come away altogether.
You are now looking at the bottom of the lamp housing. There are two more cross-head screws visible, remove these completely and gripping the finger holds moulded into the housing, pull the complete lamp assembly straight up. Replacing the new lamp is the reverse of the preceeding process. It will only go in one way round. However, you may find the lamp doesn't want to go back in the housing easily. Do not apply more than gentle force.
If it doesn't want to go in, look along the edge of the housing and you will see a small bent arm sticking out, this operates a shutter that closes when the lamp housing is out of the projector. This mechanism is very simple and has a tendency to stick shut. Gently work the arm towards the base of the housing using only your fingers, be careful not to bend the shutter. Once you have got the shutter to move freely, replacing the lamp housing in the projector is simple and it should just slide in so that is sits firmly in place. Replace the two screws, then the door and its screw.
Turn the projector right side up and turn it on. Reset the lamp timer as per the instructions in the manual (downloadable if you have lost yours). Then you are done.
Actually changing th lamp takes about half the time it took to write this review!
