Things that are great. 16GB's. I can not shoot over 700 raw images with this single card. Its fast enough that if I pop off 5 shots, buy the time I look at my viewing screen, that have all downloaded. I used this with my Nikon D300 for Nature photography.
I could pay 4X's the price for a Lexar, but I don't see the need. This is a great product at a bargain price.

I used this card with my new Canon 5D Mark II once. It worked fine in the camera, it was fast too. Once connected to the computer I was able to copy the photos to the hard drive. But at the end of this process the card simply stopped working. It is no longer recognised by the PC computer as a flash disk drive or a memory card - just an unknown USB port. When put into the camera, 5D recognizes it as a bad card. Attempt to format it using the camera result in an error.

Fast and affordable. Had the card only a month so tough to tell longevity but so far seems to work great with fast transfer speeds. Great alternative to some of the more expensive cards.

Got it a few weeks ago for my Canon 50D. Its fasters than my Sandisk card and it performs flawlessly. Its also super cheap compared to the Sandisk. I use it for photos and also videos through Magiclantern and it works very well without a glitch. Will buy more in the future!

Comments about Kingston 16GB CompactFlash Memory Card Ultimate 266x:
I use this card with a 40D and I don't need a faster card with my 40D as this card is more then fast though for me to fill the buffer with 7-8 consecutive shots shooting RAW (not sure of the exact FPS but it's very fast) and unload it to the memory card fast so I'm ready to shoot again.
Getting a faster card or paying more money would be pointless as this card is more than fast enough, very large memory wise, and very reliable as Kingston is a very well trusted company and known for their quality and the long warranty that this card comes with proves that.
It also unloads to lightroom very fast using my Kingston USB 3.0 Digital Media Reader which is known for being a very fast reader and has high read/write speed (thanks to USB 3.0).
5/5 stars for me, if you're doubting yourself about buying this card don't hesitate and just buy it..... there's no point in paying more money for the Sandisk cards or any other cards.

I am using the card to capture runway and fashion photos. Unfortunately March 20, the first day i used the card, i got a formatting error after i had shot several fashion show events. Because of this i couldn't get my RAW files stored to backup.

I bought these for use in my 7D. Have not tried them yet with video, but that wasn't the only reason. Kingston has always been reliable for me in all form factors, from microSD to desktop RAM.

I use a Canon 7D. While shooting L JPEG, no lag. Works great with full motor drive going.
When shooting in RAW, definitely can only handle about 12 continuous frames then will slow the camera until card has caught back up. Didn't lose any frames but couldn't shoot in RAW for a continuous 5 seconds @ 8 fps.

It's a memory card! It does what it says it does. And I have not had any problems with it. In fact you could put a Sandisk sticker over the top of this card say its a $300 memory card and you would fool me.

I've had no problems with the card and it's sufficiently fast. Good value/price when I bought it as well.

Had to do some research before buying these cards. I almost got the 32gb cards, but they DO NOT work in the 7D. The 16gb cards, however, work fine for video.

I don't need a card with blazing speed as I don't do video and I seldom shoot in bursts. This card has performed, as advertised, without any issues at all.

I am heading to Hawaii for vacation for 10 days and I knew my old 2GB compact flash card wasn't going to cut it. I ordered this 16GB Kingston Compact Flash Card and received it within 3 days. I took it to work and snapped some practice shots and so far so good! Writes super fast! Even at the highest resoultion this card says it will hold 3400+ pictures!!

Comments about Kingston 16GB CompactFlash Memory Card Ultimate 266x:
Performs as expected. on my 7D the 266x will hit the buffer when shooting sports in full 18MP RAW sizes at 8fps. The speed is fine for causally paced shooting and not an issue unless I'm shooting action. It's a reasonably priced card for this capacity. No problem having it in my bag for when I run out of space in the high capacity high speed cards.

Works as designed. Faster than anticipated. Price is terrific. Ordered via phone. B&H service is nothing short of outstanding. Received CF card earlier than estimated time and free shipping. Write and read speed more than adequate for my needs. Well done B&H!

The Kingston 16g card writes with adequate speed to my d700. Everything has performed as it should, making this card an excellent low cost value. One note is that it reads as only having 14.8g of memory storage when transferring files to my hard drive. Hence four stars instead of five.
