I've used my armband case literally hundreds of times over the past few years and it is excellent. I'm on my second one since fabric does tend to smell after a while from built up persperation- but that's just the nature of the beast.

If I had to be out in the rain, I sure want to protect my MP3 Player. This is not good for jogging in rain. The velcro hold down the MP3 player which is good, but with open gap on top the water can drip in. I would not consider it waterproof unlike Nike Brand Arm Wrap. Nike has it all. Sorry Sony, try better next time.

MsSassy was right. You can't access the "hold" slider button through the fabric. And setting it and putting it on "hold" is something I like. The other reviewer obviously doesn't use the "hold" slider because you can not access it once the Walkman is inserted into the armband. I feel this was a waste of my money, frankly...

I bought this to use at the gym ,but unfortunately the rings on the sides holding the elastic strap tend to slide sideways and start to pinch my arm but if I loosen it it starts to fall off my arm. Second the pocket is completely enclosed so in order to turn the volume up or down or use the hold button you have to take your walk-men out of the case completely which to me make this worthless since I have to stop working out to do so. Also the pocket is slightly large for the unit I have so the Velcro does not stay shut to keep the unit in place
