The PCA2 from Pyle is a compact stereo amplifier ideal for home or mobile use. The amplifier has 2 channels each with an output power of 40W. The front-panel volume knob makes it easy to make adjustments on-the-fly, while separate bass and treble controls let you adjust tone. Input is via a stereo RCA connector, and output is via standard push speaker terminals. It also has a voltage selector switch for worldwide use.

As a sculptor I may not know much about audio systems but I KNOW WHAT I LIKE. After my Studio Stereo gave up from the years of marble dust every new system purchased sounded worse than a can of rocks. In desperation I cobbled a very questionable system together from a $30 DVD/CD player, some very old and beat speakers and amp-ed it with this FANTASTIC PYLE-PRO PC2 2X40WP.Incredible. IT SINGS FAR FAR BETTER THAN THE VERY HIGH END SYSTEMS.The BASS can turn everything to mush/while the TREBLE can run the music up to glass. The range is amazing. The only down side is no Balance but that can easily be fabricated with a 3 pole reostat on the speaker grounds.[...]

The construction is solid, but the power rating is deceptive. The 40W is peak not RMS output @ 4 ohms. The manual states 8W RMS per channel into 4 ohms. This translates to 4W RMS per channel into 8 ohms. A far cry from the 40W.
Overall it's a solid amp for small, low wattage speakers. I would recommend to others with the understanding that it's for low wattage speakers (15W) and below.

I use this amp for acoustic testing of loudspeaers. The 1st unit I ordered didn't produce any sound. The power light came on but that was it. B&H did a great job of accepting the bad one and promptly shipping the replacement I requested. Upon first use I detected some AC hum but a wiggle of the RCA jack at the back killed it and off I went about my testing.

Got this to couple a Logitech SqueezeBox Touch to some speakers that I had. Works very well. Not exactly audiophile quality, but pretty good, clean sound. As seems typical of audio power amplifiers, the rated wattage is tested under unrealistic conditions, and is consequently rather optimistic, but this gives plenty of volume to fill a 350 square foot living room. Good value for the money. I would definitely buy again or recommend.

I love to listen to my music on my mp3 player all around the house. This is my second purchase of the PCA2 mini 40 w amp. I use this amp along with speakers from older stereo systems as with my mp3 player as the stereo input. It is a very cost effective solution for to make some simple, yet quality sounding stereo systems.

I think this is a fine product, and worth the money. The clips in the back are a little weird, only accepting wires that are pretty small (e.g. 18 gage and higher).

The Pyle PCA2 Mini Stereo Amplifier is ideal for my application - driving a pair of speakers in the den and / or the bedroom (via separate selector switch). It is used to connect a 5-disc CD player to the speakers. Simple hookup, uncomplicated sound controls and excellent quality of sound for the price. For my purposes there are no downsides to this product. Great Value!

I use it for powering 2 Heathkit AS10 speaker cabinets I built back in 1959. I am feeding a siriousXM Sattalite radio into it. Way more than enough power I also sometimes plug the Portable am-sw fm radio into it too. Even the 1986 [...] walkman tape player too. Controls are in the right places, & so are the connections on the back too. It was not a gift.

Bought this to give me better audio out of a small LCD TV driving a pair of external speakers. However, presently using it as my main HiFi audio amplifier replacing a defective high priced amplifier. It is very well made, high quality and solid. Gives great sound just as good as my previous high priced amplifier. Plan on purchasing the PTA2 just so that I can switch the input between my CD and radio tuner, really no reason to buy another high priced HiFi receiver or amplifier when this does the job so well.
