Comments about Sony VCL308BWS Wide Angle Lens:
When filming interviews or concerts in small rooms with my HVR S270, You got to have this lens.
You can get a lot more in your screen then you normaly would with roughly the same light sencetivety.
It is perfectly addapted to the camera because it is an official sony option.
Easy to assamble, easy to use, same quality as the standard lens, and all external options you bought for your standard lens, fit onto this lens.
Olny thing is that you have to set the back focus in the menu of the camera.
took me a while to find it as it is called: Flange back in stead of Back focus.
downside is that it only has 10X zoom and no digital extender. (never used it but could happen)
The lens hood is made of a flexible rubber with a lens cover lid. Not the fancy shutter thingy you get on the s270 standard lens, but you can switch the lens hoods with each other.
