The ImageView 15-45x70 Spotting Scope from Bushnell features multicoated optics and a respectable 70 mm objective lens - on the back end of things there's both a 15-45x normal eyepiece and an integrated 5.1-megapixel camera that provides 22x magnification.
Perhaps best of all, viewing is never lost through either the normal eyepiece or the camera; you can view through the eyepiece and fine-tune the focus at 45x magnification while a group of observers watch on the 2.5" flip-up LCD screen. The digital camera's 22x power is equivalent to a 951 mm lens - this level of magnification creates impressive imagery of skittish wildlife. A tabletop tripod and remote release for the camera are both included. Take advantage of each, or use a full-size tripod with pan/tilt video head to get the best results.

Comments about Bushnell ImageView 15-45x70 Spotting Scope:
I gave this two stars because the sight picture is not too awfully bad, the focus system is High grade stuff, and the ease of use is great. ONLY a two because I bought this to use as a long distance camera. JUNK, JUNK, JUNK. You have to view the item you want to capture on memory, then you have to switch a button and let the camera "see" what you were looking at, then take a "blind" picture because you can no longer see through the eyepiece. The picture does come onto the VERY SMALL LCD screen but you cannot tell if it is in focus or anything. JUNK, JUNK, JUNK !!! DO NOT BUY IF YOU THINK YOU WOULD LIKE TO TAKE PICTURES OR VIDEO.... IT WILL NOT BE IN FOCUS. YOU will waste your money !!! Honestly

I use this scope to monitor eagle nests in Promised Land State Park and Bash Kill Wildlife Management Area. I still need to practice taking pictures but the scope is excellent.

Comments about Bushnell ImageView 15-45x70 Spotting Scope:
I thought this was really just what I wanted; an integrated camera into a spotting scope so I could record the nest-building and chick raising of an osprey pair 80 metres outside my woodturning shed. It's better than average but I would pay more for better performance. This was the only camera/spotting scope unit I could find. If that is so, I suggest there is a market for an upgraded model. Even so I am pleased with the simplicity of operation, hence the 3 stars.

Comments about Bushnell ImageView 15-45x70 Spotting Scope:
I am still learning how best to work and take the pictures but I have to say I love it. The pictures are clear and I can really see across the Sound. I need to figure out how to better secure the scope to the tripod for picture taking.

Comments about Bushnell ImageView 15-45x70 Spotting Scope:
I was introduced to spotting scopes in Yellowstone last year and the desire to do more spotting of wildlife was behind my purchase. Living on the harbour the scope allows me to see water vessels and wildlife as never before. I cannot wait to take it on my regular beach fishing holiday in a few months as there is so much to see from the beach and the headlands. Simple to assemble and to use it fascinates all who visit. Although still experimenting, I am amazed at the quality of the photos it provides. I love the way it packs into its compact carrying case. I love it.
