The ART M-Five Ribbon Microphone is a modestly priced microphone designed for crucial capturing of vocals and instruments in project studio recording applications. The aluminum ribbon transducer measures 2.5mm microns thick and exhibits fast transient response without distortion. This and its wide frequency response result in clear audio reproduction without noise and distortion. The M-Five doesn't require phantom power and includes an aluminum case and shockmount.

Used it on vocals for a very natural sound, but you'll need heavy eq and compression to make the vocals stand out. Sound great on harmonica too. The mellow sound is also good for drum overheads, no harsh cymbal sound!
Quiet, you may need a high gain preamp to get this to work the way you want it to. Unique sounding mic for a great price, I may pic up another!
The box is pretty huge for the size of the mic but it's still nice to have a case.
