I'm relatively new to Bullseye shooting and wanted something for my Ruger MkIII .22 pistol. All the guys I shoot with said I needed a $200- 300 red dot sight. Well, I thought that was a bit much so I looked around for an alternative and found this Bushnell with a 3 MOA dot. It mounted easily on the rail Ruger included with my gun and didn't take long to zero. 10 minutes later, I shot 2 series of 5 rounds at 25 yards one-handed offhand all in the 10 ring. At 50 yards I shot 9s and 10s. This has definitely improved my ability to stay on target compared to the v-notch rear sight my Ruger came with. At less than $90 bucks it also didn't break the bank and put the savings towards a Konus shooting scope I also ordered through B&H. I had no problems with difficult knobs or light intensities. As a matter of fact, the dot is too bright for me at the highest settings so I'd have to see it under very bright sunny conditions to believe what others have said about it washing out in the sun. Very happy with the Bushnell and B&H!

The service from B&H was very good got my delivery in sooner than the expected delivery date. I am not 100% satisfied with the product. Its funny how the box says proud USA company yet the product is made in China. Overall it is a good sight.
The Good:
The dot is crisp and clearly visible in full sun. several settings allow you to make the dot as fine a point as you need. I had mine at #3 and was very visble. Fired about 100 rounds in the AK and sight did not loosen at all. I did use blue Loctite when I installed it and recommend you use it also.
The Bad:
I guess it is just cosmetics. Mine came with what I can only describe as a lump below the side windage knob. It is obvious it was created during the manufature process as it it part of the metal and anodized to the same color as the rest of the sight. The front angled glass has a hardened glue type seal around the edge where it meets the housing. Part of the seal was not done properly and a portion of it flaked off.

For the money, this is a great optic. I mounted it on my ruger .22 pistol. holds zero, and tolerates the admittedly mild abuse I put it through. Brightness settings are usable. dot is not perfectly crisp, but is more than adequate for my uses.

I bought two of these for my AK-47s with budget in mind. B&H had the best price that I could find and w/ free shipping it couldn't be beat. I also use a Aimpoint red dot (on my AR) and that is a better product, but IMHO way overpriced unless budget is not an issue. These scopes mounted easily and I had them spot on within five or six shots. The dots are not perfectly round but more than adequate. You can also see a small glow of red from the projector in the lower corner while looking at the eyepiece, especially in low light. I found once using the scope it was almost completely unnoticeable because I was focusing on the target. The adjustable brightness is nice, but the knob turns a litte stiff. It should loosen up after more use and be just about right. Overall for the price, great quality scope for budget shoppers.
