• Internal 160GB Hard Disk Drive: The DVR-560HS's internal 160GB HDD offers up to 34 hours of XP-Mode (high-resolution) recording time, and up to an amazing 455 hours (maximum) of manual mode (low-resolution) recording time. It features One-Touch and High-Speed Copy (HDD to DVD, DVD to HDD), Optimized Copy (HDD to DVD), and Rate Conversion Copy (HDD to DVD, DVD to HDD).

• High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) w/HD Video Upconversion: This unit is capable of upconverting 1080p HD video signals out through the HDMI output. This advanced digital output enables the player to carry high-definition video information through a single cable, achieving the highest quality picture available.

• HDMI KURO Link Control: With the push of a button, this unit's KURO Link function offers full control from your connected (compatible) KURO Link enabled plasma or LCD TV.

• Pure Cinema Progressive Scan: Pure Cinema Progressive Scan is capable of scanning an entire video frame at once; scan-lines commonly associated with interlaced video are drastically reduced. The result is a spectacularly clear image with no motion artifacts (stair-stepping), and details so sharp they seem as if they're etched onto the screen.

• USB Host: Connect your computer directly into the player's USB input to transfer your favorite MP3/WMA songs, DivX videos, JPEG images, and other files to the internal HDD.

• Pause Live TV: Pause Live TV offers the flexibility to pause the program you're watching and record it in real time; press the play button when you want to commence playback.

• High-Performance Outputs: With playback specifications that meet the standards of professionals, it features a 12-bit/108MHz video DAC, and a component video output for high-resolution low-distortion video playback. It also features a coaxial audio output for high-quality digital audio playback.

• DV (IEEE 1394) Input: Simply connect your digital video camera to the DV input terminal, and you're ready to record images onto the internal hard disk drive or a DVD recordable disc.

• Gracenote Database: With a push of a button the Gracenote Database enables the recorder to copy music CDs along with the relevant track information.

• Home Media Gallery: It offers Home Media Gallery 3keys function that gives you fast, one-touch access to the DivX films, photos and music that is saved on the recorder's HDD.

• DivX Playback Capabilities: DivX is video compression software, which enables high quality video to be compressed into very small files then downloaded onto CD-R or CD-RW and played back with very little loss of quality.

• Dolby Digital and DTS Decoders: Built-in processors handle the multi-channel decoders for Dolby Digital and DTS surround-sound, it's capable of advanced 24-bit processing and an outstanding sampling frequency of 192KHz.

• Media Supported: Don't worry about playback limitations with this unit, it can playback a slew of formats: DVD Video, DVD-R/W, DVD+R/W, DVD-RAM, SVCD, VCD, CD, CD-R/W, WMA, MP3, and JPEG.
